2d-chris Posted May 10, 2015 Report Posted May 10, 2015 Are you saying they are too distracting or your worried about people getting stuck on them? Doesn't look all that troubling to me? El Moroes, Squad, cashed and 2 others 5 Quote

Tensei Posted May 11, 2015 Report Posted May 11, 2015 Are you saying they are too distracting or your worried about people getting stuck on them? Doesn't look all that troubling to me? Counterstrike isn't quite a game that should have rainbows all over the place, because it is fast pace action game. So less environment makes it easier to recognize enemy from just a wood plank Call of Duty and other games like that are not so fast paced so there's more detail. Sure it looks way more better and realistic, but for some it is bad experience. 2d-chris 1 Quote
SirK Posted May 11, 2015 Report Posted May 11, 2015 I was bored while watching Ironman3 - so I started doodling around in Hammer: Just a really small 1on1 warmup Map matuka, ESToomere, Tensei and 1 other 4 Quote

Yeah I get ya, some official maps have more props than others, the key is to cluster them in groups - so it's less noisy, also, official maps at least try to lower the contrast of small objects either by placement or by material work. It's no different than a deathmatch arena, In fact I would say a game like UT uses even less props, the key is to understand where you get away with it, and where you don't, each game has it's own guides. Still, back to the original shot, it's not as bad as let on, could be improved though. Tensei 1 Quote

PogoP Posted May 18, 2015 Report Posted May 18, 2015 Started on a new scene a while ago, been working on it on and off the past few weeks or so.. Wanted to try and tackle a scene and texture everything entirely using Substance Designer. We use it a lot at work and I've been getting my own set-up sorted at home. This software is just so powerful, it's really blown me away. Nothing in the scene so far is textured in Photoshop. 5 points if you guess the game, shouldn't be too hard here on Mapcore 1488, Deathy, mkandersson and 12 others 15 Quote
