  1. Procedural generation is so much fun. Currently working on a simple proc game and having a blast. Here are some links that I have found around the subject. http://gamasutra.com/view/news/181853/5_tips_for_using_procedurallygenerated_content_in_your_game.php http://gamasutra.com/blogs/MichaelCook/20130512/192131/The_Saturday_Paper__Dungeon_Feng_Shui.php http://www.gamasutra.com/blogs/MatthewKlingensmith/20130811/198049/How_we_Generate_Terrain_in_DwarfCorp.php http://www.gamasutra.com/blogs/GregLobanov/20130801/197423/Randomly_Generating_Puzzles_in_Perfection.php http://www.gamasutra.com/blogs/MichaelCook/20130805/197555/The_Saturday_Paper__That_But_Bigger.php http://www.gamasutra.com/blogs/GustavoMaciel/20131229/207833/Generating_Procedural_Racetracks.php http://www.gamasutra.com/blogs/MarcinSeredynski/20140321/211068/Bake_Your_Own_3D_Dungeons_With_Procedural_Recipes.php http://www.gamasutra.com/blogs/KeithBurgun/20141015/227740/Randomness_and_Game_Design.php http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=133179 http://mana-break.blogspot.se/2013/10/hexagonal-map-madness-part-1.html http://mana-break.blogspot.se/2013/12/hexagonal-map-madness-part-2-division.html http://www.shamusyoung.com/twentysidedtale/?page_id=16458 http://www.reddit.com/r/gamedev/comments/1dlwc4/procedural_dungeon_generation_algorithm_explained/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maze_generation_algorithm http://aigamedev.com/broadcasts/session-sir-being-hunted/
  2. Half-Life 1 & 2, the Uncharted series, Bioshock 1 & 3, Dishonored, DeusX HR, the Monkey Island series, Full Throttle, Mafia 2, Simon the Sorcerer 1 & 2
  3. Don't know if this will help anyone but it did wonders for me so I'd though I'd share it anyway. 11 months ago I weigh 115 kilo and now I jump between 88.6 and 87.1 kilo and I haven't worked out at all and I work in front of the computer all day. All I did was using this formula here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harris-Benedict_equation so that I know how much calories I burn every day and then I went about 500-1000 calories under that. Its kinda hard in the beginning refusing all that sugar and all that fast food (at least for me cause I loved that shit) but it was quite easy after 2 - 3 months. If you don't believe me I have a weight loss diary to prove it
  4. It can work if you incorporate it into the level properly and not just smacking a hurt volume outside. You can have occasional snow storms that temporarily shrinks the level and changes the flow a bit. Or you can have it on all the time and then heal the players back up to their previous health once you get back inside but that means keeping track of each players hp and as far as I know that cant be done in TF2. You also need to have some form of incentive like rewards to have them risk going outside instead of camping, else it kinda sucks.
  5. +1 except I was maybe about 11
  6. Then its a nice bot I have never seen one that gives compliments before
  7. This guy is doing a playthrough of the game and has managed to get VR to work with it. He goes through and explains how he set it up in the beginning of the video if your interested.
  8. Yeah I agree on the visuals on it but I was thinking of using it more as a white boxing tool that lets me mock up a detailed level and do quick iterations on it with not much work. Then when the level is done, just go in and use the procedural models as a base for the environment art.
  9. Oh this would save sooo much work! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PDrALvAqsaI
  10. Congrats on the success! Game looks awesome!

Hello everyone! Visited the Strängnäs tank museum (in Sweden) this summer and took a bunch of reference photos there. Unfortunately these were taken by 3 different cameras and one of them was a shitty phone cam so sorry about the res and blur on a few of them Hope you still like them though! rar p1: (182mb) http://www.mediafire.com/?txbe3yooc9nv88c rar p2: (182mb) http://www.mediafire.com/?33gss57vsze59cp rar p3: (181.5mb) http://www.mediafire.com/?52vewwit0xr8ef8 ps.
