Thrik 3,340 Report post Posted April 27, 2014 Couldn't see an obvious thread for this. So, as many here know I've recently decided to make life as complicated as possible by simultaneously moving home, getting a new job, and breaking up with my 3.5-year girlfriend. Right now things are going pretty well, all moved into my new flat. No internet access until next week, so basically my only source of entertainment has been my PS3's wonderful world of Blu-ray, DVD, and games. Even my 3G mobile internet ran out so I'm currently in Subway writing this. Except now my PS3 has just died as I'm about four missions away from completing GTA5 — looks permanent. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!!!! 13 st0lve, Dejavo, FMPONE and 10 others reacted to this

Done that before, twice (with the addition of pursuing a second master degree) Change can be intimidating and overwhelming but is always needed to shake up the status quo. Good luck for the transition and hope everything settles down as smoothly and quickly as possible 1 Bøttn reacted to this

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!!!! You know, life has a way of testing a person's will, either by having nothing happen at all or by having everything happen all at once. When it rains it pours I suppose but as long as it doesn't flood you'll be ok. So far you've passed with flying colors mate. Respect!
selmitto 988 Report post Posted April 27, 2014 A little bit similar than you in the sense of getting a new job and moving into a new place. The internet just got installed, but I still can't feel myself at home as I have to rely on wi-fi and play on my slow laptop. Well, at least my life quality has improved significantly as I don't need to waste hours daily to get to work, now live in a good neighbourhood and have my own bedroom. Great stuff for when you are single. lulz. But more importantly, I'll get back to personal projects which couldn't receive my attention before. Dude, just relax and be sure that sooner or later these changes will be over, and sometimes they are for the better 2 Bøttn and Minos reacted to this

AlexM 1,153 Report post Posted April 28, 2014 Man I havent done that in a loong time. But the good thing is it's kind of like ripping off a bandaid and exciting as hell. Ps3 dying is a tragedy though, that's when you need a console the most! 1 Bøttn reacted to this
PogoP 2,371 Report post Posted April 28, 2014 breaking up with my 3.5-year girlfriend. Paedophile alert! Hope things work out ok man, seems like you're enjoying yourself I'm currently in my last month at CA, going to work at Sony in London on their new Project Morpheus stuff next month. It's a permanent contract which I'm glad for, I've been on temporary contracts for the past 2 and a half years now, it'll be nice to have something a little more permanent! Also trying to do lots of work in my spare time, as I'm currently feeling left behind in terms of non-hard surface environment art. I've done sci-fi for the past 2 and a half years, and I've let my Zbrush and texturing skills fall behind a bit. Currently catching up with a bit of PBR fun times, then gonna work on some scene in Unreal 4, maybe something inspired by Dark Souls, not quite sure yet! 17 Vilham, Thrik, KoKo5oVaR and 14 others reacted to this
FMPONE 6,013 Report post Posted April 28, 2014 Taking law school exams, working on a SP project, working on Crown and a new _de map probably. Going to go home and visit my family who I haven't really seen since last summer, so about a year ago. Going to go to the gym a lot more and try to pack on the Lbs, just general self improvement shit since I've been so focused on making maps/going to school that I don't care about (it is pretty educational though) In general I'd like to work out every day if possible, to get my mind right. Impossible and a bad idea given how stressful that can be, but maybe I can do some home workouts or something, that would be nice. As for breaking up with your GF, never forget the power of 3 selmitto, Mazy and Bøttn reacted to this
PaulH 432 Report post Posted April 28, 2014 I met my girlfriends parents the other night, they were visiting from Istanbul. On the way to the restaurant a bird did a shit on my shoulder. Her parents said it was meant to be lucky, though I think that's just something people say to make themselves feel better about being shat on. 16 Sprony, selmitto, paranoidMonkey and 13 others reacted to this

Steppenwolf 1,360 Report post Posted May 1, 2014 So i stopped smoking one and a half weeks ago and started doing some exercise and walking because i got more and more fat recently and didn't feel good due to smoking and being fat. But not smoking i actualy gained more weight already, d'oh! And now even doing some easy exercise i feel like i'm getting carpal tunnel in my left hand, my fingers feeling numb. Same thing happend couple years ago when i did a bit of weight lifting. Wonder what i can do about that because it sucks and nowadays i actualy need my left hand due to job. Other then that i've started learning Modo this week but so far i've spent more time fighting with the interface and keyboard mappings then actualy modeling something. 5 Mazy, ┌HP┘, FMPONE and 2 others reacted to this

A vice needs to be replaced by another, preferably less harmuful one. dropping tobaco and cutting on food at the same time is not smart I think dude. Try nicotine patches, and try and get in the habbit of exercising at least twice a week, first few weeks will be tough but you can fight through that shit. Tobacco is a fucked up drug. 1 Bøttn reacted to this
