kinggambit Posted November 10, 2014 Report Posted November 10, 2014 Some De_Oasis progress. Still haven't figured out how to make shadows less dark. (A.K.A Contrast) You can use the color correction (curves and leveling) to tweak intensity of dark values: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KnPhtS6W6pg Thurnip 1 Quote
TheGuma Posted November 12, 2014 Report Posted November 12, 2014 (You're going to need to open the image in new tab for this one.) So basically what I did was I rounded up the corners, it makes the ambient occlusion look nicer and removes that strong contrast (lets the light in). It also makes the buildings look better close up. Nakroma Posted November 17, 2014 Report Posted November 17, 2014 Hey, I just registered myself and this is basicly my first post, so have a few screenshots of my CS:GO map thats currently work in progress. The displacements (the cliffs/rock walls) don't look that great, and I'll never make a level set in nature again like that lol. I don't know where to start for getting in this community so I'll just do this, here you go: Sigma and Vaya 2 Quote
Vaya Posted November 17, 2014 Report Posted November 17, 2014 you can make screenshots better by turning off the hud and viewmodel. "sv_cheats 1" "cl_drawhud 0", "r_drawviewmodel 0" putting sv_cheats back to 0 readds everything Quote
Nakroma Posted November 17, 2014 Report Posted November 17, 2014 @Vaya yes, ofc. Also graphic settings up etc. but thats not the point of the screenshots, im just displaying my work, not advertising it Quote
Sigma Posted November 17, 2014 Report Posted November 17, 2014 (edited) Hey, I just registered myself and this is basicly my first post, so have a few screenshots of my CS:GO map thats currently work in progress... I don't know where to start for getting in this community so I'll just do this Outstanding start! Those displacements look very nice. I will be interested to see where you take this further. http://youtu.be/VhZxSqgCYHQ Just some more block-out work being done on my UT4 map. Its reaching the point where small adjustments are going to begin being made, the lighting worked out, and the brush work cleaned up some (and detailed further) before I start mesh work. Sorry for my poor jumping skills though (they are terrible). I should probably add some temporary materials at some point just to make it look nicer for WIP presentation. Skacky Posted November 23, 2014 Report Posted November 23, 2014 (edited) I made this small level for Sock's Q1RetroJam in about 20 hours (I used no prefabs except some lights I ended up tweaking anyway). I also streamed the whole process. I doubt the gameplay is any good but 'twas fun. Edited November 23, 2014 by Skacky General Vivi, D3ads, ChA1NsAw and 9 others 12 Quote
RedYager Posted November 23, 2014 Report Posted November 23, 2014 Fantastic Skacky! I really like the ambience the stained glass windows give off. Anywhere we can watch the stream? Quote
