Idolon Posted October 15, 2014 Report Posted October 15, 2014 working on a Mirror Edge map on UE4 -snip- Are you using reference images? The scaling and proportions on those objects look way off, especially the stairs and the wood pallet. Quote

Mistral Posted October 17, 2014 Report Posted October 17, 2014 it doesn't scream unreal4 since its mostly brushes and basic material, but for 4 days of work, i'm pretty satisfied with the progress so far. Vaya and TheOnlyDoubleF 2 Quote
Rolling101 Posted October 19, 2014 Report Posted October 19, 2014 Early stage (playable version) of the map I am currently working called de_pump / de_community (worktitle ): Layour pretty final, needs a lot of work on detailing and textures/creating an atmosphere. I found a part of a wall missing to the left of ct spawn right here: If you need any help with the detailing, send me a friend request on steam and we can talk. Quote

aaaaasdasdasdasdasda Posted October 20, 2014 Report Posted October 20, 2014 Doing some more small maps. Found out how to properly use displacements thanks to this: http://www.interlopers.net/tutorials/30687. Also using some nice composition stuff with the screenshots which seems to make them prettier. One day I'll make a real map, I swear. BJA, leplubodeslapin, Niller^.- and 4 others 7 Quote

TheGuma Posted October 21, 2014 Report Posted October 21, 2014 (edited) Tackling with a possible theme for a map... Terrorists must infiltrate a secret government database and destroy the servers to end mass surveillance once and for all. That would be the T spawn, the idea is that the terrorists found a secret route through old mountain shafts. I might change it to a van, but it wouldn't make sense on a highly preserved base (given the conditions). P.S - Shadows look a little bit too dark for my taste, does anyone have any idea how to reduce shadow contrast without changing ambient light? (It's the brightest possible) It makes corners look rough. Edited October 21, 2014 by TheGuma TheOnlyDoubleF, catfood, ChA1NsAw and 5 others 8 Quote
