  1. Anyone had any luck at all getting game_player_equip working on CS2? Thought I'd revisit CS mapping with the engine upgrade by porting over my old minigames maps but having no luck at all firing a give weapon_knife to the player.
  2. Hehe, Hyper is where I got the idea to try animating a weapon! Absolutely love his stuff, really is inspiring. I'm going to attempt to create and rig up some arms soon because it's difficult to show what I'm imagining without them. I honestly think just more practice will help a lot. This is the third day I've ever animated in 3D. Thanks for the help mate! <3
  3. So I'm doing game design at Uni and one of my classes is an introductory 3D class where we learn how to model and do all that other magic in Maya. Well 6 weeks into the course and I finally learned to animate and rig basic models. So today I decided to throw myself in the deep end and attempt to create my own animations for the Sawed Off shotgun from CS:GO. Be sure to +1 uprate Volvo put this in-game and give me one (plus ascii art). For reals though, any tips would be appreciated because I would love to practice animating more so I can make stuff look cool. Draw Animation Reload Animation Idle Animation Fire Animation

  7. So for those that don't know me. I am a University student currently studying game design. I was introduced to the whole idea of creating games from Unreal Engine 3 when I was 14 years old and have absolutely loved messing about with different elements of games (such as maps and weapon finishes in CS:GO). Currently at Uni I am researching the differences and similarities that people have when it comes to video games, video game elements and other factors and have created a survey to distribute to others in the industry to hopefully answer.     I was thinking about this earlier and am unsure. Valve may make a few changes to their Greenlight system to accommodate for Source 2

    Sounds like Source 2 is going to be absolutely free to use once it's available. However, any product you are wanting to release will HAVE to be on Steam.   19. Yes, if i'm not wrong It's the successor to the OpenGL. Valve is into it because they can't stand being dependant of DirectX and Microsoft tools, i guess it's also due to their SteamMachines (which runs on their SteamOS that is basicaly a Linux OS with SteamBigPicture runing on it). The thing is that the conference name is "The Future of High Performance Graphics", so there might be some really interesting demos there pleasesaysource2pleasesaysource2pleasesaysource2pleasesaysource2pleasesaysource2pleasesaysource2pleasesaysource2pleasesaysource2pleasesaysource2 Source 3! uups :x Valve will be following the same naming conventions of Nintendo and Microsoft by calling their next engine the "NEW Source One Engine XL U Day Zero Edition".

  21. Working on a Louis Vuitton inspired finish, rather than the cliché "tron" finish. Will probably publish this and the glitch art skin to the workshop when they're done.

  23. Messing around with textures and Photoshop decided to die. I took the results and threw them in the weapon finish tool for fun.
