Rewatched Aliens.

I found it entertaining the first time but thought it was too different from Alien in tone. Watching it again, with the right expectations, was absolutely wonderful. Such a great film.

For me, the best movie ever made.

Finally got around to watching this, highly recommended, a new favorite :)

how many weeds did you do before watching?

I highly recommend santa sangre if you want more of his work in a more digestible format. I couldn't do holy mountain... but EL Topo is pretty good.

I just finished watching netflixes new dirk gently series. Really good (and weird)

Weird Science because Sprony posted a convincing scene from it in the WMIT thread.. 30 mins into it and I have to ask, what I am watching? who makes these?

John Hughes, the man who dominated teen movies in the 80's and practically invented the coming of age films.

I watched the film without looking up anything about it. Now that I searched for Hughes I realise I've seen so many of his films. I can't believe this is the same guy who did Breakfast Club.

Billions is so good. Shame that nobody is watching: it's basically House of Cards of the financial market, and Paul Giamatti is a fucking great actor.

i caught up with S1 (for some reason not all episodes were available when I watched it) and wish they could dump all S2 at once.

Keeping up with all the rest of DC's Arrow and Flash, the former being weaker than in the past and watching only because inertia, the latter is not reaching the heights of S2 (yet?).

Slowly catching up on Homeland S5… this whole German plot seems a bit too arbitrary.

Don't really need a lot. The movie is a metaphor for the process of transformation one goes through life. Everything is symbolic, you just have to look for the meaning of the scenes, instead of their face value :)

I went to see Kong: Skull Island today and I got exactly what I wanted out of it. Great visuals, delightful soundtrack, beautiful sets, well directed, good acting, amazing CGI, excellent pacing and a lot of monster mayhem. Sure, characters were a bit dull and nothing is fleshed out, but I'm you're not going to see Kong for great character arcs now are you?

Tip, if you go, wait until all the credits are done ;)
