Steppenwolf Posted July 29, 2016 Report Posted July 29, 2016 Watch Twin Peaks if you've never seen it. jakuza 1 Quote
jakuza Posted July 30, 2016 Report Posted July 30, 2016 Yeah, watched Stranger Things too. Really liked it, but I don't have any lasting impression like with Twin Peaks or X-files. Also, Spoiler Don't know if this was intentional or not, but the monster was no longer scary after seeing it in full view. Getting glimpses of it in the shadows or only for a couple frames was much more effective. -HP- 1 Quote
blackdog Posted August 5, 2016 Report Posted August 5, 2016 I've seen Jason Bourne Monday and was rubbish ☹️ Also been catching up on Under The Dome Season 3… it's bad but I really want to see how it ends. I hope there's no S4 because the story is already being pulled by its hairs. It has improved in the second half season, in the first there were many "wait what?" Moments, I mean stuff would happen completely out of the blu, no connection to previous events etc. Quote

will2k Posted August 7, 2016 Report Posted August 7, 2016 Sergio Leone's epic western from 1968, Once Upon a Time in the West with Charles Bronson and Henri Fonda. If you liked his other epic western movie, The good, the Bad and the Ugly with Clint Eastwood, you'll like this one. Radu and Minos 2 Quote
KoKo5oVaR Posted August 7, 2016 Report Posted August 7, 2016 Watched Elem Klimov Come and see. That is maybe the most frightening horror movie i've ever seen, if you would class it in that category. Actually i'm left with a nauseous feeling, and i will probably let some time pass before watching it a second time, although it was totally incredible. -HP- 1 Quote
Sprony Posted August 9, 2016 Report Posted August 9, 2016 So this just happened. I know what I'll be watching tonight Quote
blackdog Posted August 11, 2016 Report Posted August 11, 2016 We just concluded Under The Dome. Season 3 started really shit, as of ridiculous writing (stuff happening without really links to previous stuff) then became slightly coherent… overall was shit, feels they went off a tangent from the initial theme. Shame because the S1 theme was very "King". Also just finished watching Arrow Season 3, which improved episode after episode, especially after mid-season. How cool it would be if they could create shows like this with a GoT budget… -HP- 1 Quote
-HP- Posted August 12, 2016 Report Posted August 12, 2016 So, I'm watching Breaking Bad again. We mostly just let it play in the background while we cook or whatever. Such an amazing show, I've forgotten how much attention to detail is crammed into every ep. will2k, Beck, blackdog and 1 other 4 Quote

blackdog Posted August 14, 2016 Report Posted August 14, 2016 (edited) Watched Basic for the first time in english. Well only watched it once when I was a teenager. I think is one of those movies that more brutally cheat the audience with mindfuck treatment. I have been trying to understand how it all puzzles up together but I struggle. I think there must be a fundamental flaw, since it never became one of those cult movies like Memento. Also started watching The Flash that finally is available (on Now TV in UK), first 3 episodes are good. I'm annoyed by the fact that they are using brothers and friends from peer shows, instead of being funny easter eggs they become just distracting. Also casting the old Flash actor was quite silly. He seems pretty good as an older man, but I've seen some pictures of next seasons and it's just silly choice. It incredibly annoyed me that they hired the actor that is playing Victor Zsasz in Gotham to be a meta human. At first I thought that was going to be a call back, then realised it wasn't. Of course time lines are completely different (Gotham is "past") but what the hell, how difficult is to hire someone original? It makes it feel like they had him signed for so many episodes, changed something and had to give him a part elsewhere. On 12/08/2016 at 8:36 AM, (HP) said: So, I'm watching Breaking Bad again. Friend of mine is watching it and when I happened to be there I was convinced she was much further into the story. There's so much happening in the show. Sprony Posted August 15, 2016 Report Posted August 15, 2016 Doesn't matter how old I get or how many new movies and series I see, I simply cannot let the 80's go. I truly believe I'll never be able to nor do I want to anyway. So, @blackdog stated earlier he had never seen Robocop and that triggered me to watch it again. After that, I watched The Thing, one of the best horror movies known to man. Last weekend, I concluded it with Total Recall, which I consider one of the best sci fi action movies ever made. Doesn't matter how many times I've seen these movies, they just never get old. Each and every time I watch them again I just sit there in disbelieve at how fucking awesome they still are. I don't think I'll ever grow tired of them. So, let me leave you with this little gem: Quote
blackdog Posted August 15, 2016 Report Posted August 15, 2016 I found The Running Man has been recently made available on NowTV or another stream platform I subscribe, so gonna watch it soon. Also Marathon Man, some Clint Eastwood movie… Quote
