Ginger Lord Posted August 12, 2006 Report Posted August 12, 2006 Looks good, but that painted roadblock stands out like a sore thumb. If it's been left there for a while then the paint should have faded a bit more, not just eroded off the edged and left the middle like the day it was painted. Quote
st0lve Posted August 13, 2006 Report Posted August 13, 2006 Well I guess I need to fix my computer and it won't be that bright in a few minutes. Quote
bruno_hk Posted August 13, 2006 Report Posted August 13, 2006 Nice map, looks a little bit like a kosovo I made for HostileIntent years ago. Quote
Steppenwolf Posted August 13, 2006 Report Posted August 13, 2006 Interesting similaritys. I never played HI or your map. Quote
Spellbinder Posted August 13, 2006 Report Posted August 13, 2006 Great stuff! One thing though Stepp, those sandbags, theres plants growing right throw them. Quote
tomdon Posted August 14, 2006 Report Posted August 14, 2006 If sandbags are left somewhere long enough you do get stuff growing on/in them . Quote
Spellbinder Posted August 14, 2006 Report Posted August 14, 2006 Agreed. But in war the front always moves, back or forth and rather fast. Just in the event the war ended some covers like that would be left alone, and i dont think ppl want to play on maps wheres there no war. Well thats what i think at least. Quote
Bronts Posted August 15, 2006 Report Posted August 15, 2006 Hello all Long time reader, but so very few posts Anyway I thought I would post a few images of a hlrally map I am working on. The lighting is still quite a bit out atm. The shadows are not big enough compared to where the sun is currently at. There are also a few more screenshots here http://www.hlrally.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=257 Quote
Minos Posted August 15, 2006 Report Posted August 15, 2006 Didn't know they were making a source version Aren't the roads a bit too narrow ? Quote
teeluu Posted August 16, 2006 Report Posted August 16, 2006 Ooh hlrally, once i was an ace on it, i could beat anyone! Now i'd prolly just suck. Nice work there, smooth enough at least. Maybe you should add a little more fog so you could afford to add more foliage, dunno if you can afford it without the extra fog tho Quote
dissonance Posted August 16, 2006 Report Posted August 16, 2006 bronts, that looks fucking superb. although, the tracks in the second shot, at the grade crossing, look a little... off. you might want to add some wooden planking over the ties, something like this (yes, i know, bad shot): ferret: very very monochromatic, but it looks good. i assume props are going to be added in later? Quote
General Vivi Posted August 16, 2006 Report Posted August 16, 2006 ferret is it possible to bake the shadows onto that cubicle prop? i would suggest you do if you can. Quote
