Taylor Posted February 20, 2013 Report Posted February 20, 2013 Right now I’m playing one of the most manly games every created for the manliest of men like myself. I’m, of course, talking about Fairy Bloom Freesia. I’ve actually finished the main story mode and now I’m playing through guardian mode where you just fight waves of enemies in an arena... except that’s basically what you do in story mode too, so it's just that forever. It’s a neat little game that’s focused around a free-form combat engine where you can floor bounce ten slimes a second. I give it 10/10 uguu’s. Quote
Sprony Posted February 23, 2013 Report Posted February 23, 2013 I'm still playing Far Cry 3. I think I've put in 30 hours or so and I'm still not done. It just doesn't get boring. I've now taken over all the outposts. Almost done with all the hunter and wanted missions. Did a bunch of delivery missions. Plus, all the random quests and the Challenges are great fun too. There's just so much to do with so much freedom. I'm fucking loving this game. Never thought I would say this, but I want DLC! Quote
Zacker Posted February 23, 2013 Report Posted February 23, 2013 I'm currently playing Company of Heroes (2006) and much enjoying it! Definitely one of the better games from my pile of "oh this game is not super recent but everyone says it is an absolute must to play it". Quote

I think this is the best RTS ever made and I played most of them Edited February 23, 2013 by SpronyvanJohnson Quote
Puddy Posted February 23, 2013 Report Posted February 23, 2013 The original CoH was very good. But both expansions were a bit of a dissapointment... Quote
KoKo5oVaR Posted February 23, 2013 Report Posted February 23, 2013 Combat mission : fortress italy It is such a boring, tedious and realistic tactical game, i love it. I mean they modelised the interior of tanks Quote
blackdog Posted February 23, 2013 Report Posted February 23, 2013 Finally got this bitch - all the gold medals in the combat challenges of Batman Arkham Asylum after a year i had the game installed (yeah, gotta luv retrogaming) it was about time. Quote
FrieChamp Posted February 23, 2013 Report Posted February 23, 2013 On the go (not really true I also play it at home): Fantastic tower defense game. I'm collecting all the stars currently. At home: Never got into MOBA games until just recently (must be the shooter fatigue). I'll definitely check out DOTA2 as well, but right now this is keeping me occupied. Quote
neozyem Posted February 23, 2013 Report Posted February 23, 2013 Currently in the middle of Penumbra: Overture Quote
Mazy Posted February 23, 2013 Report Posted February 23, 2013 Just finished Year Walk (iOS). Probably has the best "stay after the credits" moments that I've experienced in a game. Extremely atmospheric game even if it's super simple in it's execution, though as an adventure game it did get a little tiresome walking back and forth, trying to figure out how to proceed. That said, definitely recommend it if you're in the mood for a really creepy adventure game that has a few surprises up it's sleeve. Oh and be sure to get the companion app as well, it actually serves a purpose. Quote
Thrik Posted February 23, 2013 Report Posted February 23, 2013 Ah man, just finished Deus Ex: HR. I think that was literally the best sci-fi game I've played since Half-Life. Absolutely amazing, and unlike a lot of games nowadays it just gets better and more epic right up to the very end. I am a total asshole for not playing it until now, talk about missing out. Possibly a contender for best of the whole generation right there. Everyone involved with that game deserves a million pats on the back, including Klein who I noticed a huge picture of in the credits. selmitto and -HP- 2 Quote
Thurnip Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 (edited) I loved Deus Ex HR... Pretty fucking good game!!! On this past carnival holiday, I played a lot of Castlevanias games from GBA, Harmony of dissonance and Aria of Sorrow... AoS is pretty rad! On PS3, I'm playing Bayonetta... hard game but rewarding when you spend 30minutes to defeat a boss. And the character design is both sexy and ridiculously kitsch. Skjalg Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 FrieChamp, My experience is that whatever moba you start out with is most likely going to be the one you'll stick with I'd wholeheartedly recommend dota 2 of course, especially because its made by valve<3 and not Riot. Quote
Buddy Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 DE:HR is epic until you see the ending Quote

I played LoL for about 18 months then got annoyed at all their bullshit patches. I moved to DOTA2 and I much happier on that side of the fence. The learning curve is certainly a lot higher though. I still play LoL rarely. -HP- and Skjalg 2 Quote
