TeddyBear Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 Nice but I'm not so sure about the rounding. Also, the lighting feels too yellow and smooth. With that intensity I'd expect strong sunlight but the shadows aren't crisp enough. Quote
Meotwister Posted November 16, 2006 Report Posted November 16, 2006 I'm still for breaking that end of the stair wall. Or do something to make it more interesting. Quote
Sindwiller Posted November 16, 2006 Report Posted November 16, 2006 nice *Reflex , reminds me of RTS buildings competition Some additions Image Looks very nice CJ! Keep it up! Quote
Acumen Posted November 18, 2006 Report Posted November 18, 2006 besides from what teddybear said, i think these 2 very blueish doors dont really fit in there. first the texture itself looks quite new when you compare it to all the crackin walls and stuff around it. it sure has a little dirt on it but the way the stairs and walls look like i'd expect not something that elegant (even with some detailled grid in it - I'd expect the grid to point inwards as if somebody kicked against it, or even some parts of it missing....) as doors, you know, only very simple wooden things, that almost fall out of the door hinge, i dont know, thats just my opinion though ^^ well and the color is off, too, imo. it really sticks out of the scene, which is totally yellowish, like teddybear said. maybe if you'd tweak that, the blueish doors would blend in the environment a bit nicer Quote
TeddyBear Posted November 18, 2006 Report Posted November 18, 2006 Yeah. Maybe a bit more like this (judging by the choice of shadowing)? or this? http://img241.imageshack.us/img241/9202/genviviob3.jpg But then again, I like the daylight setting of your scene. Just reduce the yellow a bit (sunlight is really more white than plain yellow) and the contrast of the shadows and you have a kickass render. The models and textures are A+ Quote
ReFlex Posted November 18, 2006 Report Posted November 18, 2006 I like the yellow lighting from the first one. Quote
Evert Posted November 18, 2006 Report Posted November 18, 2006 I don't like the yellow, the scene is neat tho! Quote
General Vivi Posted November 18, 2006 Report Posted November 18, 2006 oh cool . i like the color change. it looks a bit nicer with a desaturation on it. ^^ ill play around with lighting some more Quote

LuftWaffle Posted November 18, 2006 Report Posted November 18, 2006 First weapon model. Yes, I know I suck, but geometry sucks, so it's a lose-lose situation! Quote
Meotwister Posted November 19, 2006 Report Posted November 19, 2006 smoothing groups ftw. pretty nice for a first one though. Quote
