Warby Posted November 25, 2006 Report Posted November 25, 2006 this was pretty fun awwww absolutely adorable =D <3 Quote
SnipaMasta Posted November 25, 2006 Report Posted November 25, 2006 looks nice can i see a wireframe? Polycount is 1278. Quote
Skjalg Posted November 25, 2006 Report Posted November 25, 2006 Wireframe is messy I'm gonna exchange this with the buggy model, no idea how to go about it tho... Quote
SnipaMasta Posted November 25, 2006 Report Posted November 25, 2006 There was a tutorial on it somewhere, although it was for Milkshape 3d - I'm sure the same ideas apply. Only comment is that it lacks detail (especially for that polycount). Quote
Meotwister Posted November 25, 2006 Report Posted November 25, 2006 yes clean up the polycount so you can use the extra polies for more detail on the body and such. Quote
Skjalg Posted November 26, 2006 Report Posted November 26, 2006 Guess I'm a newb then, because I cant really find anywhere specific where I've wasted polies (theres a lot of cylinders on this thing, that eats alot) Quote
SnipaMasta Posted November 26, 2006 Report Posted November 26, 2006 Use less on the cylinders then Quote
Pericolos0 Posted November 26, 2006 Report Posted November 26, 2006 considering the detail on that thing (especially the wheels), I think the polycount is allright. The normal hl2 buggy has a pretty high polycount too. Quote
Skjalg Posted November 26, 2006 Report Posted November 26, 2006 I think I might be done with it now, I've inserted a chair and a steering wheel, and cut some polies here and there.. the polycount is now 7270. Quote
Zacker Posted November 26, 2006 Report Posted November 26, 2006 My first thought was that it was a lot of polygons for that model, but after a closer look I can see that you got a good bunch of fairly round cylinders which take up a lot. But still, you should be able to get it lower, maybe try posting a wireframe for us to see. Quote
Erratic Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 I was going for some sort of ship panel design... diffuse spec bump :-| Quote
Skjalg Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 it looks excellent Erratic, gj~ Quote
Rick_D Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 wtf kinda wireframe is that? ;D Quote
Skjalg Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 Guess I'm a newb then (I dont really know how to do this, so please enlighten me) Quote
cyberjunkie Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 Take a screenshot of your Viewport or Set a material with "Wire" ticked Or Under Renderer in your Render window, force Wireframe. This looks a tiny bit confusing Quote
