SnipaMasta Posted August 29, 2007 Report Posted August 29, 2007 My WIP AR/SC70 mix - 4,647 polys with a 2048X1024 texture. The animations it's compiled on are by Jennifer!! but they don't work at all (buggy, and don't fit the weapon). Quote
Quakis Posted August 29, 2007 Report Posted August 29, 2007 Still WIP, but I wondering if I've approached this correctly with the changes. Quote
SnipaMasta Posted August 31, 2007 Report Posted August 31, 2007 Cheers Sindwiller. I've released it for the Galil here, if anyone wants it! Quakis, I'd recommend using another smoothing group on the inward part of the base. Whenever you have something like that it looks better to use a seperate group so it adds an edge to it, rather than awkwardly "rounding" it like it is now. Plus, put a skylight with shadows on for rendering - it looks much better . Otherwise it looks alright. Quote
Zeta Posted August 31, 2007 Report Posted August 31, 2007 looks fantastic. the flatness of the grip doesnt look so hot in game unfortunatly but that render is Quote

However when it comes to smooth groups, I haven't seen an option in Blender to do this other than smoothing the selected faces. Probably looked over it, I'll see what I can do. Quote

KIIIA Posted September 1, 2007 Author Report Posted September 1, 2007 far away from being beautyful, but better than the last renders : - PS: Why do the chrome shaders overexposure that much when rendering with mia_physical_sky and sun?? Quote
hessi Posted September 1, 2007 Report Posted September 1, 2007 the rendering is MUCH better than what you showed in the past weeks/months! i bet you can get it even more realistic!. anyway: keep on it! Quote
Warby Posted September 1, 2007 Report Posted September 1, 2007 far away from being beautyful, but better than the last renders : WORD huge step in the right direction but still a long way to go Quote
