is there a way to hand-edit mipmaps? the model is fucking incredible, but degrades when viewed from the side, and that's depressing.

Out of curiosity, what could you do to the mipmaps to fix that?

i am still working on it. i added some finer rust to the model and some rust bubbles. second i am creating the LODs and then i might make it destroyable D: so people can use it as a map objective

update: if i didn't mention yet:

exporting a model with 3 LODs and 4 breakable submodels which require each a physics model + 3 LODs is a fucking pain in the ass!

Planing on releasing for which mod or game? Dod source I hope ;)

As stated already, that's down more to the rendering than the texture. You could try setting the anisotropic sampling flag in the VTF but I don't think it would help much.

you could always disable mipmaps - might not help a big deal ..

every day a new model :D no just kidding. i am just so happy to have some free time and no big projects bothering me right now, so there is some time to play around with my photos and maya :D
