dux Posted September 16, 2011 Report Posted September 16, 2011 Stop shoving game modes that aren't needed into bf3 and focus on what made it awesome, conquest! Quote
ChopperDave Posted September 16, 2011 Report Posted September 16, 2011 What about collapsing buildings to take out the MCOM stations? That got pretty irritating too... Quote
Zyn Posted September 16, 2011 Report Posted September 16, 2011 What about collapsing buildings to take out the MCOM stations? That got pretty irritating too... I think they have thought about that this time. Quote
Mazy Posted September 16, 2011 Report Posted September 16, 2011 Stop shoving game modes that aren't needed into bf3 and focus on what made it awesome, conquest! This. Though I do appreciate that they try adding more modes to it, but fact is that Conquest is the TDM of BF Those changes to Rush do sound good, always pissed me off that someone could be standing with a tank or a sniper rifle and blow the MCOM to piece if they had the patience, though sometimes that was also the only way to get things done if the defending team had it on complete lockdown. knj Posted September 16, 2011 Report Posted September 16, 2011 Crushing down building with m-com station in it, and destroying m-com that way for me was nice realistic add to the gameplay, and as mazy said sometime the only chance to win, i did like that feature, and gonna miss that Quote
Puddy Posted September 16, 2011 Report Posted September 16, 2011 Destroying the building the M-COM was in was pretty lame imho, despiting being "cool". For example, on Port Valdez you could park a T90 on top of the spawnhill and just barrage the A-building until it collapsed. There's not much the defenders could do about it (they'd have to have some really aggressive engineers and even then, the tank could stand pretty much in an area which they couldn't enter, only fire into). PogoP Posted September 16, 2011 Report Posted September 16, 2011 In BF2, I absolutely loved Conquest. It felt a bit lame in BC2, so I really got into Rush. I think the ratio of Rush games played to Conquest games for me must be something like 1:30! Quote
Psy Posted September 16, 2011 Report Posted September 16, 2011 Yay to all the changes but... * If the defenders start disarming an M-COM just before it’s about to blow, the explosion is prevented until the disarm is accomplished. If the defender gets killed during the disarm process, the M-COM will instantly blow What?! That seems kinda unfair to the attacking team. Anyway, I rarely played Conquest in BC2 because I preferred the focused nature of Rush. Each to his own, eh. Quote

ChopperDave Posted September 17, 2011 Report Posted September 17, 2011 A daytime mission would've been more useful for comparison. But still cool. Quote
Gloglebag Posted September 17, 2011 Report Posted September 17, 2011 Didn't like rush that much, to me BF was almost always about manoeuvring behind enemy lines and dicking around. Rush is just nice for those time you wanna camp and snipe. Quote
