Serenius Posted September 2, 2012 Report Posted September 2, 2012 Xen sucked. It was where the game stopped being fun. Glad to see the good part of the game is ready! Quote
Puddy Posted September 2, 2012 Report Posted September 2, 2012 Xen was cool. It felt like a truly weird and hostile place. Loved Freeman's little excursion there. Quote
Campaignjunkie Posted September 2, 2012 Report Posted September 2, 2012 I loved the endgames in HL1 and HL2 for how alien / unexpected they are... look, a crazy organic low gravity asteroid world thing! Look, a blue gravity gun that annihilates everything and gets used by an NPC! Really well done last chapters, not some generic predictable climactic build-up. Anyway. Great release plan. Yay BMS! Taylor Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 Xen sucked You shot a giant testicle and jumped into a baby's brain. Quote

Thrik Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 Something I've discovered during the past few days is just how polarizing Xen was. I've seen a pretty much even split between people who love the shit out of it and are dismayed it's not going to come with the initial release, and those who think it was an awkward and annoying ending. I personally never actually got to Xen. I got pretty much right up to it, as I remember the Lamda shit, but then I got stuck and never continued. So BM:S will be the first time I ever properly finish Half-Life 1, and ironically enough it's going to launch with a cut-off point the same as where I got to. Quote

FMPONE Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 I didn't finish half life until my twenties, in fact, I never got past the first level. I got the game as a kid, and could never figure out you had to put the cart into the machine. Also, it was fucking terrifyingly scary Quote
