From Software has been awfully quiet since their reveal of Dark Souls 2 in December, their third Souls game. But IGN released gameplay footage today of Dark Souls II , followed by a short Q&A video. Typical for a Dark Souls game, the developers doesn't want to reveal much, but the video does show some changes in gameplay mechanics from the previous game.

Just watched it. Maaaaaaaaaaaan I can't wait. Dark Souls is a brilliant game. It's very difficult but once you get the hang of it, you feel like a badass sword-wielding muddafuckaaa.

lol, fucking namco trying to make the story relevant. Dark souls has a rambling incoherent story, no one cares. they should solely focus on the gameplay and advertise that.

What? The story in Dark Souls is really well thought out. Much of it has to be pieced together from the scraps they give you, and they intentionally leave out parts to allow for speculation. There are tons of great youtube videos on this

I love how the story in dark souls only reveals itself if you go out your way to do so rather than force you to experience most of it. 

 

This game has consumed me like no other this generation. I have to make sure I have about a week off after this game comes out.

Short and gorgeous. There's a lot of really nice environment concepts in the second portion of the book. 

 

Considering the price is about 20$ i'd say it's easily worth the money. Then again I love game art books.
