i3ad Posted November 18, 2006 Report Posted November 18, 2006 ^^ahh that jungle map reminds me of an old jungle map that i started some month ago ... worked 1 day on it lol Quote
⌐■_■ Posted November 18, 2006 Report Posted November 18, 2006 oh that doesnt look too bad. are you going to work on that some more? boston looks fine. really clean and well balanced. im not sure if i like the clean part, id try to make it more 'lived out'. add trash etc, to make the scene less of a designed playground and more like an immersive city. i like the colours though! michi, i think your map looks ok but i think you could get much more out of it. it has alot of potential to be an atmospheric scene! i suggest adding houses, farm objects and more trees. maybe even a broken wall, ruin, rock, etc. etc. i like the colours and the raw looks of it! michi.be Posted November 18, 2006 Report Posted November 18, 2006 hehe guys. i thought this is a WIP thread here. of course it looks empty. i just started . busy with modelling, becasue the editor is model based only. no fancy brushes. the editor make the grass stuck into the ground. thats the "sandbag" effect. ingame you will not see it. the rock idea is col. there is a small lake there too and a farmhouse which i modelled. if i made more progress i will ppost more here. Lois_Must_Die Posted November 21, 2006 Report Posted November 21, 2006 Meh, I return with more rain-soaked Asian stuff. Billboards to be replaced with, you know, not-so-self-referencial type stuff once I learn how to make good textures. One free internet to whoever guess what this is for. Quote

Rick_D Posted November 21, 2006 Report Posted November 21, 2006 looks random as fuck - I've never seen buildings that need to support each other across a street :l Quote
D3ads Posted November 21, 2006 Report Posted November 21, 2006 ^^ahh that jungle map reminds me of an old jungle map that i started some month ago ... worked 1 day on it lol You should definately carry on with it, there's not a lot there perhaps but what is actually there is looking awesome! Ok just fiddling around here with more open jungle terrain: Most of the foliage are placeholders (especially those trees, which are horrid!) but textures and man-made props are pretty much final. ⌐■_■ Posted November 21, 2006 Report Posted November 21, 2006 that looks awesome. a lil dark though, but that might also just be my laptopscreen? anyhow, i think its pretty atmospheric. just got back to mapping for hl again myself Quote
