Bunglo Posted October 27, 2011 Report Posted October 27, 2011 Me likey! Just a slight nitpick though, the stone in the top, left hand corner, that light brown dirt is a bit too contrastive with the darker tones behind it. It stands out a touch too much me thinks, but I'm just being overly nitpickeryish, keep on keeping on! Quote
Jenn0_Bing Posted October 28, 2011 Report Posted October 28, 2011 That's awesome. Looks like a lot of fun too, might have to give it a go myself sometime soon. Quote
Grimmsorg Posted October 31, 2011 Report Posted October 31, 2011 Good stuff, really like the finished texture, will you be doing a spec texture? Quote
PogoP Posted November 1, 2011 Report Posted November 1, 2011 For now I'm just going to do the diffuse, I can't really be bothered with spec/norm atm Just want to do plenty of texture practice. I will at some point though! Here's this morning's texture WIP, got a lot left to do on it: Quote
KoKo5oVaR Posted November 2, 2011 Report Posted November 2, 2011 It's great pogop !! to me you need some more depth, you can do it using colors (using complementary colors, but you already do that ), nuancy contrasts, and levels of detail; especially this, because that's what you lack already in your first attempt; the eye is catched by details and contrasts first; in your texture everything is worked (pretty well) with the same level of detail, you should try to detail some parts much more than others; in order to create a contrast, so a depth good stuff ! residentzack Posted March 5, 2012 Report Posted March 5, 2012 I've spent the last few months on and off teaching myself how to make textures in UDK. I'd love some feedback before I move onto the scary and time-consuming task of creating and texturing static meshes for Unreal. Diffuse/normal/spec/occ maps available upon request if necessary. *water texture in image 3 was not made by me which was included in UDK. Quote
cityy Posted May 22, 2012 Report Posted May 22, 2012 Been working on a simple concrete wall texture. This is the first time I am using my penpad to make a texture; I'd be happy about any advice or hints. I started off with this reference photo. Quote
cityy Posted May 25, 2012 Report Posted May 25, 2012 More texture work! I'm making these for an upcoming q3 capture the flag map. Any input is welcome. Quote
2d-chris Posted July 15, 2012 Report Posted July 15, 2012 I like the clean industrial style you got going there Quote
ElectroSheep Posted August 21, 2012 Report Posted August 21, 2012 It's time to start my sci fi CE3 project i wanted to do since a long time The first step !!! Quote
kikette Posted August 27, 2012 Report Posted August 27, 2012 Nice metal ! But, I think there's too many bolt maybe ? My turn : Some textures made for an old project Half-life inspired (only albedo ) : and a small composition ; Quote
Thrik Posted August 28, 2012 Report Posted August 28, 2012 It's time to start my sci fi CE3 project i wanted to do since a long time The first step !!! Looks a bit busy because of the bolts, I imagine a whole floor of this would look a little weird. Unless it's specifically to emphasise strength (eg: walls of a dinosaur-containing room or some shit) it'd be worth reducing the number of them I think. Quote
kikette Posted August 28, 2012 Report Posted August 28, 2012 New version of an old stone texture \o/ Sculpted this time. Old one (photoshoped) : New one (sculpted): Quote
