FrieChamp Posted August 14, 2006 Report Posted August 14, 2006 Another spotlight for mr. hourences good job!
D3ads Posted August 14, 2006 Report Posted August 14, 2006 Jesus fucking wept,, words fail me, that is truly outstanding work, looks like something from Doom 3 except without any boring lighting, dark patches or shit ass shadows.. Amazing.
Hourences Posted August 14, 2006 Author Report Posted August 14, 2006 Thanks a lot for the plug vivi-> calm down Each map took a month part time work, so four to five weekends and a couple of evenings. The final tweaks I did after the release took 2.5 days a map. Work had to go fast since it was a contract job and ofcourse the textures and meshes were delivered to me so that saves some time.
ReNo Posted August 14, 2006 Report Posted August 14, 2006 Wow, you work fast - consider me green with envy Awesome job, as ever Hourences.
Polaris Posted August 14, 2006 Report Posted August 14, 2006 Nice on the spotlight, but they didn't pick the best image imo.
OrnateBaboon Posted August 14, 2006 Report Posted August 14, 2006 Very quick turnaround time compard to a source map. I think these maps might have convinced a few people to take a look at the Unreal Editor.
Patrick_H Posted August 15, 2006 Report Posted August 15, 2006 Gorgeous, wonderful atmosphere. You took full advantage of the normal maps on the rock surfaces. I will be studying up on those shots as I complete my UT2k4 map. I will be pining for the normal maps though.
BlisTer Posted August 15, 2006 Report Posted August 15, 2006 great work. architecture, lighting,.. everything is adding quality to already awesome textures. i prefer the metal-warm atmosphere of the second map but that 2nd shot of the first map looks terrific too with the panels and architecture.
MJ Posted August 17, 2006 Report Posted August 17, 2006 thin ice is hot (get it?).. make that a ns2 map
Zacker Posted August 17, 2006 Report Posted August 17, 2006 Absolutely fantastic work as usual from you Hourences!
Section_Ei8ht Posted August 17, 2006 Report Posted August 17, 2006 Amazing. Nothing left to be said. Simply amazing.
