-HP- Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 Nice! I still need to play the first one :E Quote
ElectroSheep Posted January 1, 2011 Author Report Posted January 1, 2011 I just played the demo on Xbox, waaw. Actually it's look more like a DS1.5 but the first one was so good I really enjoy that Quote
Taylor Posted January 1, 2011 Report Posted January 1, 2011 Walking around the freezer rooms I didn't know if I'd gotten lost, it was trying to do some clever hallucination thing, or they had copied and pasted the same room 5 times. Still, I liked the original and it looks like more of the same. Pinning babies to the wall and tazing them is harmless fun, after all. Quote

Yeah, had exactly the same reaction, felt like a very weird bit to start a demo with. I liked the demo tho, looking forward to it. Quote
Threeboy Posted January 20, 2011 Report Posted January 20, 2011 Original game on sale @ steam for 7 bux. Quote
D3ads Posted January 26, 2011 Report Posted January 26, 2011 http://www.gametrailers.com/video/revie ... e-2/709734 Metacritic says 90 on the average review, this one's a keeper it seems! Quote
dux Posted January 26, 2011 Report Posted January 26, 2011 Watched a video of it's 4 player coop - looked rough as sandpaper to me. I'll pass. Quote
Minos Posted January 26, 2011 Report Posted January 26, 2011 I tried to play Dead Space on Steam last night but it was very frustrating. Next to Borderlands this must be the worst console port ever. The FOV is horribly narrow and the mouse is super laggy. I'm playing with the Xbox Controller, which is much better than WASD + Mouse, but I gave up after 10 minutes or so into the game. The FOV gives me nausea :/ Such a shame, it looks like a great game and has some really great materials. Quote
Skjalg Posted January 26, 2011 Report Posted January 26, 2011 I didnt like the first dead space. I played it for about an hour, but had to close it down because I was getting so frustrated with the controls. Quote
ElectroSheep Posted January 26, 2011 Author Report Posted January 26, 2011 Seriously ? that was ok for me an really easy to make a 180° when something came behind me. I finished it 5 times Quote
Threeboy Posted January 26, 2011 Report Posted January 26, 2011 I snoozed on the $7 steam sale for the 1st one. Darnit :/ Quote
Zyn Posted January 26, 2011 Report Posted January 26, 2011 I've had Dead Space in my Steam list for eons, yet never been even close to finish it ... maybe I should :C Quote
Mazy Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 About 5 hours into it, absolutely love it! Really thrilled that this time around they take the time to build up some really unnerving and tense situations and actually keep their finger off the "just spawn more monsters" button once in a while. The pacing is just so much better than in the first game. Also some seriously brilliant semi-cutscenes where you have control of the aim. Just hope they can keep this up for the rest of the game~~ Quote
Mazy Posted January 30, 2011 Report Posted January 30, 2011 Finished it earlier. Apart from the story falling a bit flat for me, then I absolutely love this game. Without a doubt one of the coolest sci-fi games to date and on pretty much every level it seems like this is the game that the first one should have been. Still haven't checked out the multiplayer, don't really have that high expectations after most reviews having bashed it. Did start over on the single player though Quote
ElectroSheep Posted January 30, 2011 Author Report Posted January 30, 2011 I bought it on Amazon, i will receive it Thursday. Can't wait ! Quote
