⌐■_■ Posted May 9, 2008 Report Posted May 9, 2008 Still not satisfied about the look of this....I think it's missing something but I can't find what.., any ideas? you might want to add taller buildings (ie skyscrapers) Quote
Thrik Posted May 9, 2008 Report Posted May 9, 2008 Yeah, a bit more background depth will work wonders. I think Albatros is a budding master of that kind of thing: viewtopic.php?f=25&t=11027 Love the way he uses fog and lighting to make it seem like the city goes on and on. Similarly neat stuff from him here with the mountains: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=1552&start=5685 Quote
JohnSmith Posted May 9, 2008 Report Posted May 9, 2008 you might want to add taller buildings (ie skyscrapers) Ok I'll try to modify the 3d-skybox then, thanks for replying tomato Yeah, a bit more background depth will work wonders. I think Albatros is a budding master of that kind of thing: Yeah Albatros is crazy He really have a great sense of scenery Quote
JeanPaul Posted May 10, 2008 Report Posted May 10, 2008 Its really too bad that any sort of zombie mod will be 100% void after Left4Dead comes out Quote
tomdon Posted May 11, 2008 Report Posted May 11, 2008 You could say, the other zombie mods will be left for dead...... man I crack myself up . Quote
PogoP Posted May 11, 2008 Report Posted May 11, 2008 Not neccessarily. Different zombie mods offer different gameplay styles. Whilst L4D offers hectic gameplay, mods like No More Room in Hell will offer features like barricading amongst other things that L4D doesn't. Quote
Buddy Posted May 11, 2008 Report Posted May 11, 2008 Well I've been playing some Zombie Panic!: Source recently and its pretty awesome gameplay and nowhere near the one from L4D. Besides the fact that ZP!:S maps look a bit crappy its fun game nonetheless, especially when You can play together with your friend in one room Quote

Psy Posted May 12, 2008 Report Posted May 12, 2008 Little update on my CTF map. Skyline is flat, I know, and the area just around the Intel is a little open which I plan to change a little. Quote
Punky Posted May 12, 2008 Report Posted May 12, 2008 Your brushwork is getting more detail! it looks good, you have enough entrances that provide acces to the intel, which is also good, the two things that aren't good imo: -you need to add more detail (by adding lots of props, but you are probably in an earlier stage of your map where you are doing the brushwork?) -the intel is just laying on the floor, in the center of a building... Psy Posted May 12, 2008 Report Posted May 12, 2008 -you need to add more detail (by adding lots of props, but you are probably in an earlier stage of your map where you are doing the brushwork?) I'm just using brushes at the moment. -the intel is just laying on the floor, in the center of a building... That is what I was planning to change. Might have it on a pedestal or something. Quote
