I'm pretty hyped myself tbh. had quite some fun playing KF on lan with my gf

Killing Floor 1 was fun but didn't last very long and for me, it was because of 2 main reasons.

 

1. Your only objective was to survive and defend. 0 variety.

2. Even though there was a bunch of mutant-variations, the general feeling was just a "mindless mob coming towards you". The specials in L4D2 have way more interesting behaviours, as an example.

 

I hope they mix it up a bit more in this one!

exactly my problem, although even i found l4d1/2 a little dull fairly quickly, but then i didnt have anyone to play with which may have impacted that. they seem to be really aware of the problems with KF1 and it was made very quickly. This time round they've even gone into detail to get firearms professionals to mocap the weapon handling.

Yeah, even L4D1/2 became dull when you had played each campaign once or twice, but luckily that was when versus/scavenge etc came in.

I spent well over 100 hours with KF playing with friends on teamspeak. Fantastic fantastic game to play with friends who enjoy screwing eachother over haha. We much preferred it over L4d. Plus the music and updates were awesome!

 

Gonna be rubbing my dick all over KF2.

Mmh, I feel better in knowing I wasn't off in my judgment, although I just "looked at the cover".

I remember waiting impatiently for L4D, I even bought the 4 pack to share with mates of a forum. My machine broke just before it came out and I couldn't rebuild it. When I was able to play like two years later I found it unplayable, I mean I couldn't get into it and deleted it after quitting. First time I did something like that, my worse spent 14€ or whatever it was.
