Pericolos0 Posted July 22, 2011 Report Posted July 22, 2011 My girlfriend was at a coffeeshop in Oslo when it happened, about 100m from the explosion . She's okay but it's fucking crazy, last thing you would expect to happen on a trip to Norway O__O. Quote
Mazy Posted July 22, 2011 Report Posted July 22, 2011 Sincerly fucked up, especially that it seems like there were two coordinated attacks. Hopefully there wont be more :G Shit Peri, thats fucking nuts, never really heard from anybody that was close to this kind of thing. Must be scary as hell D: Quote
Puddy Posted July 22, 2011 Report Posted July 22, 2011 crazy psycho shit, especially if you read about what happened at the youth party camp... fuck :/ Quote
Steppenwolf Posted July 22, 2011 Report Posted July 22, 2011 My girlfriend was at a coffeeshop in Oslo when it happened, about 100m from the explosion . She's okay but it's fucking crazy, last thing you would expect to happen on a trip to Norway O__O. This is really crazy. First the bombing in Stockholm 100m away from the former Grin office (which thankfully didnt work out as planed by the terrorists) and now your girlfriend so close too. Guillaume and his girlfriend were only 25m meters away from the Stockholm explosion as far as i remember. Mapcore entourage is dodging bombs. Quote
Mazy Posted July 22, 2011 Report Posted July 22, 2011 The fact that the gunman was dressed as a cop and claimed to be there for security just makes it even more nuts. Quote
Pampers Posted July 22, 2011 Report Posted July 22, 2011 The shooter was disguised as a cop loaded with a handgun, shotgun, rifle and body armor. Shooting youths gathered on a political camp trapped on an island. He is said to be an ethnic white Norwegian as well. http://www.abcnyheter.no/files/imagecac ... a980_0.jpg <--from the island(graphic) :C Quote
sarge mat Posted July 22, 2011 Report Posted July 22, 2011 Heard reports that kids where swimming of the island in an attempt to get away. This is very sad. Quote
Skjalg Posted July 22, 2011 Report Posted July 22, 2011 my girlfriend was just leaving work when the explosion hit, luckily she was inside when it happened. When she got out into the street people were running around in panic, people were crying and there was glass shards everywhere. She started running as well, but being pregnant and all (7 weeks to go), she didn't get to far before someone bumped into her and she lost her phone, because she was trying to phone her family at the time I guess. The phone, which of course I tried to phone up 5 minutes after that to hear if she was okay, and when she didn't answer, and the fact that her work place is in the same street (akersgata) as the early reports said that the bomb had gone off in then I was really fucking worried. After half an hour or so I got a phone call from her mother, telling me that my girlfriend was safe and unharmed, only very scared and didnt know what to do. She had borrowed a phone from some strangers in order to phone home. A bit later she messaged me on facebook telling me that some strangers had driven her to their home and that she is gonna spend the night there because she didn't dare get on any public transportation systems to go back home. It was horrible, one of the worst moments of my life. The not knowing was so fucking awful. Im so fucking grateful that she didn't get hurt, really puts things in perspective Quote
Steppenwolf Posted July 22, 2011 Report Posted July 22, 2011 I'm glad your girlfriend and the baby are ok! It's also nice to read stories about strangers helping each other. Quote
Skjalg Posted July 22, 2011 Report Posted July 22, 2011 Thanks =) http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100002651290254 This is apparently the guy who dressed up as a cop and shot 10 youths. Some decent information here: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... lasts.html Quote
Mazy Posted July 23, 2011 Report Posted July 23, 2011 Good to hear Skjalg, can't begin to imagine how awful that must be, not knowing if she was safe. And yeah, seems that in these situations people usually come together and show their better sides. Quote
