robert.briscoe Posted October 8, 2007 Author Report Posted October 8, 2007 Thanks guys! It would great to have a game later if we can get one going! I will be there!
robert.briscoe Posted October 8, 2007 Author Report Posted October 8, 2007 ****UPDATE**** I noticed that alot of people were commenting on a lack of ambient sound, I just checked and I forgot to include my custom soudscape and soundfiles!! I am currently updating the ZIP file to include these files, simply redownload and re-extract to your CS folder (not your maps folder!). Give it around 10 mins from this post to let it upload fully, thanks!
PogoP Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 I was just about to say that the environment sounds could do with a lot of work Rob, where did you get that custom skybox from? Its sweet! Or is it included with CS:S?
Synthesizer Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 Looks fantastic. As mentioned though, the rocks look a bit egg shaped. I'm going to give it a run through after supper
PhilipK Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 Fkn awesome bobby! I love the pic with all the stumps. Have to check it out ingame too.
Buddy Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 Hey Rob, cool work, nice to see it released. ps. wheres my credit
JamesL Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 There's a typo in the gameinfo too Our server is borked at the moment I am trying to fix it.
SnipaMasta Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 It's a shame you had to come to compromises with the Source Engine, but the map looks brilliant non-the-less. The detail is fantastic, and it plays well too.
Method Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 Very nice. I liked your depot map too and website layout. -Method
R_Yell Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 I downloaded it and is even better than in the screenshots. I love the river and those flying insects among other things. However CS:S is about a completely different gameplay. This map in a game like America's Army or similar would rock in popularity, no doubt.
Algor Posted October 9, 2007 Report Posted October 9, 2007 beautiful map there and great portfolio. i've got it downloaded and will check it out soon (i hope). i will probably update this post with a comment or two when i do.
