FMPONE Posted October 16, 2006 Report Posted October 16, 2006 Unbelievable work, absolutely fantastic.
slicky Posted October 16, 2006 Report Posted October 16, 2006 i just enjoy seeing something done in a truly original style. The floor texture does need to be scaled down, and i think you should emphasize the curves in your architecture with less saturated lighting. Overall awesome work.
hessi Posted October 16, 2006 Report Posted October 16, 2006 good start for many other maps in a pretty good quality to come! you still have a lot of room to improve, but as i know you now for a while you did a good learning process. hopefully you can get your self into a better engine soon. maybe ut2004 is a little outdated to compete with modern engines such as source or doom (which i presonally wouldnt prefer ) take this as a motivation for new maps i want to come out of your hands
cyberjunkie Posted October 16, 2006 Report Posted October 16, 2006 Looks pretty damn realistic to me, the textures used are awesome and the mood seems nice! Most excellent! KIIIA! :D
Minos Posted October 16, 2006 Report Posted October 16, 2006 That looks damn nice A lot different from your other maps KIIIA. Good job.
Bic-B@ll Posted October 16, 2006 Report Posted October 16, 2006 i still want a wireframe of the ceiling
dissonance Posted October 17, 2006 Report Posted October 17, 2006 oh, so that's what you made that staircase for. looks very nice.
Patrick_H Posted October 17, 2006 Report Posted October 17, 2006 Very nice work. Some really fine architecture and textures! I do agree that the lighting needs to be toned down, there seems to be too much ambient coming out of nowhere. I would lose that parquet floor texture- it looks like a gymnasium. Also, I'm not an expert, but from what I remember from my Art History class, that style is much more Rococco- light and fanciful- not Baroque at all.
Mojo Posted October 17, 2006 Report Posted October 17, 2006 another spotlight map today? if someone doesn't by the time I get home, I shall
