-HP- Posted February 3, 2016 Report Posted February 3, 2016 Man, I love this game. Taking it nice and slow, refusing to look at any solutions or tips online. Makes solving puzzles I've been stuck on very satisfying when I finally get itThe biggest struggle I'm finding with this game is exactly that, refusing to look up the solution online, cos man when you do figure out how to crack some of those puzzles, you feel awesome! FMPONE Posted February 9, 2016 Report Posted February 9, 2016 I've not really been able to get into this one. It does a lot of stuff well but the lack of a unified narrative that sort of guides you through it makes it laborious for me blackdog 1 Quote
blackdog Posted February 9, 2016 Report Posted February 9, 2016 (edited) I've not really been able to get into this one. It does a lot of stuff well but the lack of a unified narrative that sort of guides you through it makes it laborious for meThat is the feeling I got from the summa of all trailers, and was the "fear" I was trying to explain with my comments around release day.I like games that don't think the player is dumb, but the amount of puzzles that I've read are in to complete the game seems unnecessary in a game like this. I'm wondering if I can find the time to play it all, would I get bored or stuck? Edited February 9, 2016 by blackdog Quote
FMPONE Posted February 10, 2016 Report Posted February 10, 2016 but the amount of puzzles that I've read are in to complete the game seems unnecessary in a game like this.It should have been like Portal or Portal 2, where the puzzles are edited down to the very best ones, and each is a coherent part of a narrative arc. Instead this game decided to go the Myst route, because when I think of a fun game, I think of Myst (...not) Quote
General Vivi Posted February 10, 2016 Report Posted February 10, 2016 Big fan of this game so far! The wife and I are almost at the end I think. I really enjoy how all of the puzzles were designed to teach you a new concept on how you understand the mechanics of the pieces. It's also fantastic how they change your perspective of the entire game constantly throughout each area. You begin to really enjoy the small details in each section and understand that 90% of everything you see was design and placed on purpose. Def my game of year so far in this genre. -HP- 1 Quote
blackdog Posted April 2, 2017 Report Posted April 2, 2017 Blow's development history if you haven't watched any of his talks, you have no idea how much and quirky is the stuff he has worked on -HP-, poLemin and General Vivi 3 Quote
