this game has a LOT to it that isn't immediately apparent.  I started going through some of the data out of curiosity, and it looks like I've only scratched the surface in terms of story after ~20 hours and finishing most main puzzles.

If you want the game completely fresh, don't look at the subtitles.  The game has something really interesting I have yet to find that makes it much, much more interesting.

Yeah I can't see how they wouldn't be able to get enough money for another game.

People is probably pirating it because of what I was saying… it seems too minimal and not varied in terms of activities that probably people are afraid to waste money.

Yeah what @clankill3r reported. From the numbers above its something like 500-1000 copies per hour in the first three days, and it's just steam. Not something to complain I would say. And he's going to publish on iOS as well (or is it already?), where those kind of games do well.

i know it bites to know you're being ripped off, but like I think all of us can agree, pirated copies are not 1:1 to sold copies. Maybe if they put out a demo would be different.

I know Jonathan has a HTC Vive. I expect that they work on bug fixes for something like 2 months. If a iOS release is still planned then that probably follows and after that VR. This is just a guess but I won't expect it anytime soon, I estimate in 4 months.

Any word on a VR release? The game looks very well optimized to run on there.

there's a VR mode that is activated with the -vr flag.  I'm curious as to how well it works, there's a lot of stuff I think might get messed up when dealing with two eyes, and a few parts that might straight up be the puke zone

it was added at the same time as steam controller support, and the steam controller support is just an old controller config in the game's directory (which no longer works), which may something about the state of vr support too.

At least he was being nice about it, seems like he's had a change of attitude since he released Braid.

And just to point this out, piracy numbers aren't equal to lost sales numbers. A person pirating something wasn't necessarily going to buy said something if they weren't able to anyway.
