I think you guys will especially like the ingame multiplayer map editing feature. 

The guy behind CMPA is behind it which immediately makes it legit. They are running a Kickstarter right now:

I keep seeing this, and I want it to succeed real bad, but I feel like it's trying to bank on "it's quake 3 but not" too hard, especially with the movement demo.  It sort of scares off players less familiar with those concepts.

 

On the other hand, I absolutely love the look of it, and it looks like movement is super smooth and fun.  And holy hell did an arena shooter need actual matchmaking, I might have to back it.

 

That map editor though, it looks real messy, and I'm not so sure about the whole multiplayer thing.  Honestly, I'd love to see PETI from portal 2 made into an editor for this game, it seems like it would work well.

Reflex looks nothing like Unreal Tournament, and that Toxikk game while it's very fast paced game it's also nothing like it.

 

Marcems right, this is more like a Quake game, only with some different stuff added. Nothing wrong with that, if anything there needs to be more fast paced shooters in this CoD era of ours.

I remember Cliffy B. said he wanted to make an oldschool roots fps. One could only assume he meant Unreal Tournament.

But Epic is already remaking that and so many people are already remaking Quake again.

Not sure how smart it is to jump back into this pool atm.
