dux Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 So when are you guys going to make AA work for Nvidia cards? The jaggies are more dangerous than the Alien for me right now PogoP and -HP- 2 Quote
-HP- Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 So when are you guys going to make AA work for Nvidia cards? The jaggies are more dangerous than the Alien for me right now You mean there's no AA on Nvidia cards? Cos I think the problem resides more in how the materials were made. I'm playing on PS4 but most materials in the game are extremely glossy, resulting on some really sharp material highlights and a crazy specular aliasing fest. Specially on geometry with really tight bevels. Don't think a stronger AA filter would fix that without blurring the image. Quote
blackdog Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 Those gameplay quirks are annoying, but are also the kind of thing I always wanted in games. It makes it more "realistic"… I mean, instead if having flashing objects and 2D overlays/waypoints. Maybe I'd restrict that to the harder game setting. Quote

People on the official forums and elsewhere with Nvidia cards have the same issue. Quote

marks Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 (edited) I think that's pretty pedantic. Sorry for using a deferred renderer (and consequently only being able to use post-process AA tech). On a more serious note though - yeah aliasing is a big problem with the approach of modelling everything - much easier to sample textures. Especially with (like helder mentioned) super glossy surfaces everywhere, specular aliasing is also a problem. Why you so mean oli =((( Edited October 16, 2014 by marks knj and dux 2 Quote
