Vilham Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 ":2gj6rfbr]I made a few workshops myself, but afaik it's for internal use only, but we can try and release it. But yes, a few video tuts would be awesome. tbh if crytek really does want their engine to be commercial they need to release a more detailed wiki etc anyway. UDN is one of the reasons Unreal is THE engine the industry uses. Too many company's seem to create engines on the premise that they can sell them, without the documentation your engine isn't going anywhere. Quote
mjens Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 So is there gonna be a PDF guide like with Cryengine 2? Or at least an addition talking about the added features, because I assume a large part of the editor is still the same. I'm not sure about a list of newly added features, but there is plenty of documentation on crymod. I'm considering doing some training videos with commentary for the community but first I gota finish a certain something for Seir I hope so I downloaded videos shipped with UDK and these are great and easy to understand - great as a reference Quote
Gloglebag Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 The tutorials from 3dsbuzz are also fucking fantastic for UDK. But anyway I assume when you pay 500K+ for en engine crytek sends a couple of people over to teach them hands on for a few weeks. Quote
mjens Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 Yep, they ship some guys in a wooden crate with holes so everybody can put their dicks into and have a little break from the editor Quote
Rick_D Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 that's under NDA sier, stop leaking NDA stands for Nine Dick Airholes Quote
mjens Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 I didn't tell that there's HP in this box so there's not leaks! Oh, wait. Oups Quote

Why people need to reproduce the colors of crysis 2 ? I hate these colors, they are very strong, the contrast is very high and colors are saturated in Crysis 2, like on your screenshot with the red of the fire. Quote

Froyok Posted July 5, 2011 Report Posted July 5, 2011 Everytime I see a crysis 2 screenshot I'm wondering if it's not a christmas tree... while it's not even Christmas! Gentlemen, the gaming world is in trouble. Let's make everything desaturated and brown! :'( Quote

Gentlemen, the gaming world is in trouble. Crysis 2 has a very nice balance of colors/saturation as did Crysis. More games need to look like it. Quote
