insta Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 Okay, I finally got a portfolio. Big thanks to PhilipK for helping me put it together! If you want to take a look at it, you can just click this underlined text, and it will appear! I'm gonna upload all my maps to FPSBanana so there will be some consistency to the download links, and I'll probably have an option to download the maps directly from my site as well. Hopefully I will get around to fixing that today. Okay, so let me know what you think already! Quote
Hourences Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 Id certainly put your resume on it as well, and more information and pictures of what you did. Right now it just lists the games you work on, but I have no clue really what exactly you did. Did you do art or scripting, or lighting, and so on. I also think you can prolly take some more screens of the stuff you did. Quote
Punky Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 Your portfolio is clean, it's easy to navigate through it, in my opinion it's perfect except from the fact that you're not specific enough, just like Hourences said. It's not really clear what you made in the screens, unless you made everything you can see in the screenshots? PS: All your maps are brilliant, I played most of them, and really liked them, gj! Quote
insta Posted December 14, 2008 Author Report Posted December 14, 2008 The screens from GRAW2 and BC are just officially released screenshots. I was thinking of not even having them "pop-up-able" at all, since thats mainly a resume of what professional games I've worked on. But yes, I can certainly write a few lines about what I did on the projects. Glad you like my levels, punky! Quote
Warby Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 all you image links need to be middle mouse button shit lick tab-able something i really need to add for my page too ! layout navigability and content look great ! Quote
dux Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 Fun fact; even though the map is called Postoffice, it is actually not set in a postoffice. This upset some people which were on the lookout for a map set in a postoffice. I was most upset at this outcome. Quote
Nysuatro Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 Indeed. very clean site, well organised and a nice design. And like everbody else said. More specific info. Other than that, nice work you got there. Quote

Spellbinder Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 I'm with the rest about the layout and stuff. I just have one thing in mind though, and it might be because im very old. "CV is available upon request, just give me a few hours to write it first." <-- now this, this tells me you are a lazy bitch and put everything and anything up until you absolutely have to do it. I would rather see you take that off completely or just write a CV It might be a generation thingy though i don't know, but thats what i would think if i was to hire you. Quote
Thrik Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 Yeah, I'd agree with the CV comment that while tinged with light humour is probably going to cause more harm than good. I'd definitely remove that if seriously sending this to companies. Nothing else to add really, other than that I think it looks nice. Quote
Minos Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 Good work magnar, I love the maps descriptions =) I'd increase the main font size a little as it looks kinda jaggy on my monitor... not sure if its only me though. Quote
insta Posted December 14, 2008 Author Report Posted December 14, 2008 Point taken about the CV thing, it's been removed Quote
