Furyo Posted April 6, 2007 Report Posted April 6, 2007 http://www.crazybump.com/beta/download.html Amazing results, saves enormous amounts of time. You can load up any diffuse texture, pic, etc and get a great normal map in just a few clicks. The program is beta for now, may have to be purchased in the future, but it's free right now Quote
Steppenwolf Posted April 6, 2007 Report Posted April 6, 2007 wow this rocks! the results are indeed amazing for a automatic tool Quote
st0lve Posted April 6, 2007 Report Posted April 6, 2007 Crazybump is one of the best tools out there. Only thing that sucks is the interface. Quote
Furyo Posted April 6, 2007 Author Report Posted April 6, 2007 Oh you and your connections Was this already in beta stage last year? It could mean development has stopped? Quote
st0lve Posted April 6, 2007 Report Posted April 6, 2007 Nope, dev haven't stopped afaik. I registered for beta some time ago (a few months?) and he said if I had any errors etc. just report them to him. Quote
Rick_D Posted April 6, 2007 Report Posted April 6, 2007 youre so last year handy tool though no shit? this has been out for ages - although I never got my mail telling me if he released the full version, I am still using the beta The interface is ok, big 'click here' buttons never hurt anybody. But I know what you mean, I hate interfaces that don't hide everything under a submenu within a submenu behind a small tree under a rock. So annoying. Quote
Sa74n Posted April 6, 2007 Report Posted April 6, 2007 yes it is still beta. once it is over you will notice it because it wont work anymore (if your computer is connected to the internet that is) the guy is working on some handy improvements like saving out templates, properly overlaying and blending between normalmaps, performance and other stuff. General Vivi Posted April 6, 2007 Report Posted April 6, 2007 crazy bump is pretty cool . If you work the values right you can make some nice looking normal maps . Quote
skdr Posted April 6, 2007 Report Posted April 6, 2007 Yes, I love this program. Been using it few months. Quote
teeluu Posted April 7, 2007 Report Posted April 7, 2007 Why i haven't heard about this earlier? Quote
