Evert Posted August 28, 2005 Report Posted August 28, 2005 Using a 3d-skybox in it Jack? It casts shadows on the level, so if it is placed in a bad place that may be the problem. Quote
JacK Posted August 29, 2005 Report Posted August 29, 2005 No, I'm not using a 3d skybox, simply because I don't really know how to make them good. But nevermind, zeOx figured it out for me, so he get's todays cookie! Oh- and btw, how do I make the de_dust palmtrees good? I know I have to place the branches in the 3d skybox, but as I've said before, I don't really know how to make the 3d skybox good, any tutorials with the palmtrees you guys know of? JacK, Norway. mike-0 Posted August 30, 2005 Report Posted August 30, 2005 @jack - i think understanding how the 3d skybox actually works rather than just following a tutorial to get it to work helps. see what im sayin? derrrrr heres my wip started it yesterday. obviously i had dm_rankin in mind from ut2k4. Quote
von*ferret Posted August 30, 2005 Report Posted August 30, 2005 at least take the time to expand your 3d screen so I can see waht the hell you're trying to show. In teh end dont post hammer shots. Quote
D3ads Posted August 30, 2005 Report Posted August 30, 2005 Everytime someone posts a Hammer shot, God kills a kitten. Please think of the kittens... Quote
Mazy Posted August 30, 2005 Report Posted August 30, 2005 Actually i vote for more Worldcraft shots. Makes it more exciting to see the finished map shots! Quote
Flow Posted August 30, 2005 Report Posted August 30, 2005 Skybox around the whole map is not a good idea to seal it. Quote
Marcos Posted August 30, 2005 Author Report Posted August 30, 2005 Skybox around the whole map is not a good idea to seal it. True, but it works well when you just are doing a test-compile which mike probbly had in mind Quote
Oski Posted August 30, 2005 Report Posted August 30, 2005 Or you could just use the Cordon bound. Quote
Marcos Posted August 30, 2005 Author Report Posted August 30, 2005 Did that one time and my whole map was deleted by hammer.. Never used it again Quote
Evert Posted August 30, 2005 Report Posted August 30, 2005 Mike, that room is too small for DM I'd say. Even if it's just a corridor, people want to be able to move from side to side. Quote
