Hipshot Posted September 1, 2005 Report Posted September 1, 2005 Started this about hammer when VDC opend, this is the biggest chance to get valve empoyees to read it, and also a great way of adding problems and info. this: http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki ... mer_Editor Quote
ReNo Posted September 1, 2005 Report Posted September 1, 2005 Oooh interesting I haven't really been following the development of that wiki, but its nice to see things like that on it. Quote

Defrag Posted September 2, 2005 Report Posted September 2, 2005 Not as good, its as with the 3d view and radiant, I can say its as fast just moving your hand to the arrow and the kb and moving there, as it is using the wasd config... In reality, wsad is much better and faster, so is using the RMB to scroll the 2d map. Espec since the RMB dosen't do anything for most times. Hammer is super speedy for navigation in all ways that I require. Space + left mouse button scrolls, mousewheel zooms in and out and you can navigate the 3D view using WASD and/or left/right mouse button + space. I much prefer holding space & navigating with the mouse. I can't really think of a more intuitive way of navigating. Zooming in and out is a pain in the ass, especially if you just want to scroll a little. Quote
insta Posted September 4, 2005 Report Posted September 4, 2005 Some pictures of a map I'm working on for DoD:Source. It's a port of a older dod map of mine. I restarted this project for the third or fourth time today, but I'm pretty happy with the results so far. I don't want to commit myself to one texture set just yet, since I want to see what DoD:S ships with in terms of textures and models, but for now the de_inferno textures are doing great. This is tonights work : Main courtyard overview. Alot of emptiness right now, but I'll spruce it up with some craters and whatnot. Extreme closeup of some random junk. Mind you this is just one nights work. I'll be sure to keep you all updated on my progress Quote
Minos Posted September 4, 2005 Report Posted September 4, 2005 Looks good insta. Add some overlays to the floor on the first pic are cuz it looks pretty empty and repetitive atm. Quote
