I did six minutes of speed stepping and weighted steps yesterday and nearly passed out in front of all the incredibly fit, hot women around me, lol.

Should have continued and passed out! One of them could've been a hot nurse ;)

And done some sexy mouth to mouth breathing

Oh like this you mean:

Haven't worked out for 2 weeks cos of holidays. Today I ran again, it was horrible and I felt like dying. I also ran much slower than usual.

I picked up weights as usual but noticed I had lost strenght and ended up dropping the weights on my foot.

Please kill me.

At least that's how I'm expecting it to go ;) I guess that's why nobody's posting xD

yepp, already on my 5th or 6th training after new years. there's a little bit more pain getting back into it, but its not halfway as bad as I expected. I'm also doing a lot of the offered classes in the gym now - bit weird doing zumba with 30 women but it helps with additional cardio :)

Started with creatine after new years, doing slow build up (2 weeks). Not really expecting huge improvements, but let's see. got my fourth training tomorrow, none of them have been really bad so far. Granted I have been sleepy at times (I worked out the day after NYE) but I had expected worse.

I do pure creatine monohydrate, 10g/day for build up. I've been known to take 10g extra on training days, but then I remove a day from the buildup (once I get into maintenance I'll follow your advice).

Not necessarily gym-related, but I've been using an app for the past 11 days called Fitocracy Macros and it's seriously transformed how I eat.

I've used calorie counting apps before but never really had much success with them. The key here is you can't actually enter calories, you have to enter grams of proteins, carbs, and fats. Also, you have to actually find the amounts yourself (i.e. through the web or on the packets). It's almost like a game finding the right food to hit the targets while not exceeding the limits, lol. So for the first time in my entire life I've been properly thinking about how much nutrition is in everything.

I didn't even realise how many carbs were hidden away in things like Coke, coffee, tea, etc. Also I find I can eat so much more meat compared to the pasta, bread, etc I usually eat and be a lot more full. Of course I still consume carbs, but I practically hit the limit the app recommends for my weight and workout frequency just from drinks alone. It's nice to have something telling me how much of each component I should eat rather than just guessing it.

I've lost just over seven pounds in the past 11 days, but I think that will (and should) slow down now the 'beginner's bonus' is over from water retention, etc. The main thing is this has given me a much better understanding of how to eat better and I'm genuinely more energised and full all day from doing this.

Combined with doing weights (it increases my nutrition on workout days) I'm hoping I will end up looking much better in 3–6 months. Which will be useful considering that I'm recently single, LOL. :D
