So people over at faceit seem to like the map. I think it’s in a pretty bad spot visually though, and I don’t have the time to do anything about it. If any level artist is looking for a new project to work on, I’ll hand over all the files so you can do your own thing with it. I only ask to be credited for the original design. Let me know in PM if you feel up to the task.

What can I say that hasn’t already been said? Game’s really good, the visuals and music is powerful and the voice acting is exceptional. Controls are going to take a while getting used to, there’s just so many buttons that I keep accidentally shooting while setting up an ambush. ?

I love how some guy in the comments points out that the underworld didn’t even exist until much later, regarding what’s being talked about at 2:58. So not only is there hardly any story here, whatever scraps of it there are is not even canonically correct.

I want a new game that looks beyond the Diablo formula. I’d like to see a reinvention of the IP, much like we saw with Breath of the Wild and God of War. But even if it turns out to be another top down dungeon crawler, I’ll take it. ?

Am over 30, have played a ridiculous amount of Q1/2/3. Life’s too short to be ”actively” playing Quake. I’d rather seek new experiences. As for the younger generation, yeah I guess they are getting destroyed and are more used to a social gaming experience, of which Quake doesn’t offer.

I was stronger when I was 26, but this is the leanest I’ve ever been these days I stick to cardio and compound excercises only. Diet has been very strict the past 3 months, no sugar, no alcohol, no high GI carbs such as pasta, soft bread, white rice etc and no trans fats. l mainly eat vegetables such as spinach, olives, bell peppers, tomatoes, a little bit of dairy such as mozzarella and feta cheese, fish of all sorts, eggs, chicken, peanut butter, apples, brown rice, hard bread, lenses. Stuff like that. I guess you could call it old school mediterranean diet. None of that french fries crap. I don’t count calories, but I estimate that I hit about 2k daily. I’m down 15 cm around that waist, slimming 1 to 1.5 cm per week.

Three quarter review: Got hired as a Level Designer Cut weight down to about 10-12% bodyfat As for the rest of the year, I’ll just ride it out. I’ll be the best husband and father I can be and get cool shit done at work. I’ve been working on my own game recently, but I’ll save the goal of finishing that for another year.

Displacements are only marginally more expensive, but looks nicer and lets you vertex paint. I prefere keeping architecture mostly models and displacements.

Not exactly the art direction I would have expected for this IP. Gameplay looks slick, but I think a Ni No Kuni kind of vibe would have gone a long way. Or maybe it’s just the turqoise ambience in the area presented that’s throwing me off.

I can only agree, it’s way too dark. A lot of details are lost, the whole scene gets a dated look and I don’t know where to rest my eyes. Hope you guys will reconsider the lighting and update us on it!
