Minos Posted January 2, 2008 Report Posted January 2, 2008 Hell, these are probably the most pretty HDR photos I have ever seen! Bloody amazing and inspirational! http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=563548 Quote
⌐■_■ Posted January 2, 2008 Report Posted January 2, 2008 im afraid im not as ''awed'' as you, but they look good Quote
e-freak Posted January 2, 2008 Report Posted January 2, 2008 at first I was like "I could do better" but than ZOMG - the last picture before he goes under the bridge it started to become so awesome Quote
Erratic Posted January 2, 2008 Report Posted January 2, 2008 That's one awesome bridge. I love how all these hdr photos look more like concept art than a photograph. Saving some of these. Quote
Sa74n Posted January 2, 2008 Report Posted January 2, 2008 i like this one the most. really cool atmosphere. on some of the rest the editing is really meh though Quote
Pericolos0 Posted January 2, 2008 Report Posted January 2, 2008 Awesome, HDR photos always look like renders or ingame screenshots to me, really stange . Quote
Thrik Posted January 2, 2008 Report Posted January 2, 2008 Yeah, same. I think it's because HDR photographs aren't really very realistically lighted (our eyes aren't HDR), which of course makes your brain think of the way CGI looks. Quote
Minos Posted January 2, 2008 Author Report Posted January 2, 2008 Good theory thirk What I like about those photos is that the HDR isn't overdone as in most HDR photos. Just search for HDR on flickr and you will figure out what I mean Quote
Blunkka Posted January 2, 2008 Report Posted January 2, 2008 Yeah, same. I think it's because HDR photographs aren't really very realistically lighted (our eyes aren't HDR), which of course makes your brain think of the way CGI looks. I sometimes like to think of it as being "more realistically" lighted. Human eye can see a dynamic range of about 10000:1 while a digital camera only captures 400:1. Nice images Quote
Steppenwolf Posted January 3, 2008 Report Posted January 3, 2008 Looks more like some highpass photoshopping to me. I really dont like the look of these so called "HDR" photos. The pictures show some interesting stuff tho. Quote

I sometimes like to think of it as being "more realistically" lighted. Human eye can see a dynamic range of about 10000:1 while a digital camera only captures 400:1. Nice images The eye cannot see the whole range at once though, and similarly to a camera still has to adjust the light exposure. HDR images are designed to show the detail in all areas as if the camera could adjust the light exposure for all levels of light simultaneously (this is impossible). Quote
e-freak Posted June 1, 2008 Report Posted June 1, 2008 Didn't know where to post this as these shots aren't mine. I just came accross this most awesome Foto-Portfolio: http://www.bilder-factory.com/main.htm Impressing and Inspiring stuff Quote
Quakis Posted June 2, 2008 Report Posted June 2, 2008 http://www.bilder-factory.com/main.htm Impressing and Inspiring stuff Wow, great stuff there. The style of them is quite similar to the style I invision my Source project to look like in some ways. Quote
-HP- Posted June 2, 2008 Report Posted June 2, 2008 Awesome, HDR photos always look like renders or ingame screenshots to me, really stange . Indeed, I can't explain it, they look so darn pretty. Quote
