hessi Posted October 24, 2006 Report Posted October 24, 2006 good lighting and atmosphere but brushwork and texturing sucks. there are no windows on those buildings and all is very blocky. you should really work on this! with a lot of effort this map could be extraordinary! Quote
FrieChamp Posted October 24, 2006 Report Posted October 24, 2006 there are no windows on those buildings and all is very blocky. you should really work on this! Sherlock Hessi on the case! i thnk thats actualy a river dont i see a reflection of the tree there ?! But Detective Warby proves to have the real eagle eye here, I also thought it's a road! Quote
Warby Posted October 24, 2006 Report Posted October 24, 2006 hrhrhrhhrhrhr best thread in ages and solid begin of a map too =) Quote
Bic-B@ll Posted October 24, 2006 Report Posted October 24, 2006 good lighting and atmosphere but brushwork and texturing sucks. thus it being in the wip forum Quote
cat Posted October 25, 2006 Author Report Posted October 25, 2006 Why is the thread getting jacked because of the photo of the guy smoking crackpipe?! Quote
e-freak Posted October 25, 2006 Report Posted October 25, 2006 because that's hessi and that's a crack in a ´thread just like in a blendtexture mapstarts looks good though - would have thought that for a road as well in the first moment Quote
Meotwister Posted October 25, 2006 Report Posted October 25, 2006 wait its not a road? I really love the atmosphere, you definately got that on lockdown... some better brushwork and your gold. Whats this map for? ps. omg hessi... thats extremely odd that you would happen to have a picture of you as sherlock Quote
teeluu Posted October 25, 2006 Report Posted October 25, 2006 I really hope that those textures are just placeholders, horrible. It's kinda blocky too like hessi mentioned. Everything else is looking good tho. What are you doing this for, HL2:DM? Quote
JeanPaul Posted November 12, 2006 Report Posted November 12, 2006 Love the bottom left shot, even though there are dev textures in it Quote
Erratic Posted November 12, 2006 Report Posted November 12, 2006 Middle left image looks great, but get some bigger shots. Hard to make out finer details Quote
Defrag Posted November 12, 2006 Report Posted November 12, 2006 Need bigger screenshots. I tend to find that small screenshots are very hard to use for critiquing work / offering suggestions as: A: they always look better than fullsize screens (not sure why, but they always do) so I find them to be a bit artificial B: I can't see any detail! michi.be Posted November 12, 2006 Report Posted November 12, 2006 this is a really awesome theme you've chosen. nice work. but as the other guys said some windows and such things on the buildings will ad a lot to the overall athmosphere. Quote
