Their post doesnt really seem to answer that question. It's pretty clear from the original wording that Epic will remove RL from Steam, just pushing updated to existing customers. Now they are in sort of damage control limbo, as they've backtracked. ~ I imagine there's concern for e-sports fans of RL of what will happen, although I would expect Epic to let Psyonix continue do what they've done, maybe even just provide extra funding to make the RL tournament more relevant. This is the kind of game that can easily go to the Olympics. Edited May 3, 2019 by blackdog Quote

blackdog Posted May 24, 2019 Author Report Posted May 24, 2019 (edited) Looks like GOG's Galaxy 2.0 is built to support games from different platforms and libraries into one, you can sign up for the beta. https://www.gogalaxy.com/en/?utm_medium=email&utm_source=newsletter&utm_campaign=20190523_nl_galaxy_beta_test_announcement_EN&utm_term=EN&track_click=1&link_id=main_CTA not sure to understand what's the reason to add a game from a console platform, maybe is just for achievements. I imagine you still have to launch Platform-X to update your games (they mention updates only when explicitly referring to GOG), so not sure on the benefits of using a third party launcher. I can see something like this being interesting if was tailored for "big screen mode", so you can have your "console" PC. Edited May 24, 2019 by blackdog Quote
Radu Posted June 26, 2019 Report Posted June 26, 2019 (edited) "Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney has argued that store exclusives will ultimately benefit gamers, in the face of persistent criticism for the Epic Games Store's strategy. Joining a discussion on Twitter yesterday, Sweeney said that stocking the Epic Games Store with PC exclusives is the only effective way of ending the standard 70/30 revenue split imposed on developers." https://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2019-06-26-tim-sweeney-unpopular-epic-game-store-exclusives-are-working Edited June 26, 2019 by Radu FMPONE and Zarsky 2 Quote
