Well well well… This will be where I post updates on my map that I'll be making for the contest.

Alright so here's the theme:

So here's my map idea: de_dixon is set at an abandoned mall called Dixon Square, located in Canada (Eh?). Build in the 60's, it used to be an icon. But as times changed and crime increased, the place closed. decades later, a big company has bought the mall and is in the process of removing asbestos to renovate the place to become a department store. Thousands of dollars have already been spent on the project and the local organised crime ring have gotten word of this. Now they aim to destroy the decaying building of the former mall to cripple the company.

If you manage to figure out where this place will be based on, you get a personal tour by me when it's in a playable state X3 Here's a little hint:

That B site looks like ripped of from B site Mirage. I will make some time and take a look at that layout later on! (i have some ideas)

Hmm. It was based off the information booth in the place I based it off of, but now that I look at it twice, I can see the similarities.

Is it too early to be flexing 3D ceiling tiles? It's about time we had 3d ceiling tiles instead of just a flat texture (To think how far we've come in tech since the beginning of the decade).

I plan on making tons more in various states of decay, but this clean version should do fine for the greybox version.

Texture on it looks a bit stretched, but the model itself is pretty good. Nice one!

Indeed it is, it's so hard to find a texture for those rectangular ceiling tiles. But once I find a good texture for it, I'll be sure to replace it so it doesn't look as stretched. Thank you very much for the compliments by the way.

Just found this, I think it should serve you well - https://opengameart.org/content/ceiling-tile-texture - I'd say it might work better at 1024 x 512 rather than 1024 x 1024, what with the rectangular nature of the prop.

Thank you so much for this! I've been looking for something like it, but I guess I just wasn't looking hard enough ?

No worries, man. Check the edit to my post - the new link includes spec and normal maps as well!
