I like it, simple yet effective.

It could use some color though. And for easier navigation you could make the subsites to popup under the choosen link-button, that would get rid of the nasty home button. But you would have to know some asp or php.

Please tell us what the textures are for

They are for nothing really except portfolio.

Or some were old ND textures, and some other were unusable for the stuff they were made for.

Looks good with the colors. I thought that there may be a problem with using the regular colors simply because a bunch of different colors in the middle of a black and white page may just look out of place, but everything is along the same basic color scheme and looks good together.
