sarge mat Posted August 29, 2011 Report Posted August 29, 2011 Is there a way to make nice clean screen shots or run it in full screen? Decided to start a project with it today and am quickly getting into it Quote
e-freak Posted August 29, 2011 Report Posted August 29, 2011 you can get devkits of ebay sometimes... seen a couple of people buying them. sarge mat: e_Screenshot or r_GetScreenshot Quote
-HP- Posted August 29, 2011 Author Report Posted August 29, 2011 sarge mat: e_Screenshot or r_GetScreenshot e_screenshot is extremely buggy, so it's a hit and miss. r_getscreenshot never used it myself. Quote
bokeh Posted August 29, 2011 Report Posted August 29, 2011 Question for the Cryengine devs & modders here - I'm from a Source modding background & interested in prototyping a puzzle game, & the flow graph editor looks perfect as a visual scripting system for someone like me who can't program. In Hammer I did a lot of work with brush objects (the equivalent of solids in Sandbox it seems), turning them into moving or physical objects. Could you do the same with solids, for instance using the Flow Graph to transform them or alter physical properties? Quote
Ginger Lord Posted August 30, 2011 Report Posted August 30, 2011 You can definitly animate solids in Trackview, not sure about changing materials via Flowgraph. I think that may have to be converted to a brush, which in a basic form is a one click solution. Quote
Corwin Posted August 30, 2011 Report Posted August 30, 2011 Yeah, all you have to do is create your solids, then merge them into the object you want and export to CGF format. Then you can use that cgf as a proper entity and move it around, change its materials, scale it, rotate it, apply impulses to it, all that shit, in Flowgraph Quote
sarge mat Posted September 8, 2011 Report Posted September 8, 2011 Is there anything like the keyframe_rope from source, that can be used to make power cables etc in other words? Quote

PogoP Posted January 26, 2012 Report Posted January 26, 2012 Uber bump! Having a problem with Cryengine, and I am mega-perplexed. For some reason, whenever I mess around with my own map in Cryengine, after 10/15 mins, I get these strange artifacts on-screen and it causes my computer to completely crash. My first thought was that my graphics card is corrupt, but I checked GPU temps and it stays around 60... I guess it still could be GPU, but whenever I play any other game or use UDK extensively, I never get any crashes whatsoever! Very odd. Anybody else encountered strange artifacting and hard crashing with the SDK? It's a real shame because I feel really inspired to work on something at the moment Quote
e-freak Posted January 26, 2012 Report Posted January 26, 2012 Can you name more details? Did you try running on a lower system spec? Are you using any kind of entity very extensive? Quote
PogoP Posted January 26, 2012 Report Posted January 26, 2012 Unfortunately that's all the details I can give really, it just sometimes seemed to crash after 10/15 mins. I've tried updating my graphics cards drivers and re-seating my graphics card, so fingers crossed it might work now. Will keep you posted! Quote
PogoP Posted January 26, 2012 Report Posted January 26, 2012 Edit - Copy paste from Polycount. If any of you guys can help me out, I would really appreciate it! Having a really frustrating problem with CE3 at the moment. My computer is working perfectly fine, and I'm able to play any game at maximum settings for hours on end, as well as use Zbrush, Max, Photoshop etc, with no crashes and no graphical artifacts whatsoever. However, whenever I use CE3 for more than 10/15 mins, I start to get these weird graphical artifacts all over the screen, and seconds later, my GPU shuts down. What's weird is that my computer stays ON, but the graphics card just shuts down. I would like to know why this is specifically happening with Cryengine. It's infuriating! It doesn't happen with any other software, so I don't really want to invest in a new graphics card just yet. Any ideas guys? Oh, here's a screenshot: Quote
