  1. A good start as already said. The green fog in the first shot looks a little odd next to the blue skybox.
  2. This is looking as hot as ever.
  3. Wow, so there was no way I was expecting this to take a week, but it just turned out to be one of those weeks where odd things kept popping up. I considered a high-poly model for this and even started one, but in the end if you check some photographs images of an actual Humber Pig, there isn't that much more detail to include, I didn't feel the time needed to model the high-poly would have been worth the payoff in this case. Not to mention I haven't really explored high-poly modeling in any depth yet, one of the things I hope to get to grips with somewhere in this project, I might revisit this and do a model for the wheels before all's said and done. This is just diffuse at present, I'm going to take a break from working on it and concentrate on some other bits of the scene for a while to save myself getting burnt out. Currently I haven't produced any concept art myself, though I plan to. But this whole project was kicked off/inspired by this piece http://radojavor.deviantart.com/art/Belfast-41548645 he's got some other awesome pieces in his gallery. I've got some ideas of how i want my scene to look, but the general mood is going to stay very similar.
  4. I'll be giving this a run-through as soon as i can. I don't have Crysis with me atm so I cant install/play it .
  5. I've been looking forward to this one. Love the concept.
  6. Some branches with extra variation like has been mentioned wouldn't go amiss. If the player is running along the path which i presume he is, the foreground seems a bit cluttered. I love the half way cartoon/real look you have going on in the proportions and texturing really nice work there.
  7. Looks really good, his nose seems a little on the long side though, there's a lot of space between the bridge and the tip. Could you skin on the sort of diaper they wear to make sense for his lacking downstairs?
  8. So, I'm making enough headway on this project at the moment I think to strike up a WIP thread. Hopefully I will be able to update this periodically, Uni workload permitting . Having a thread should also keep me motivated. I also plan on releasing the assets at some point, save it just gathering dust on my hard drive once I'm finished with it. Basically my plan for this is to create a "post riot" scene loosely inspired by Belfast during The Troubles. A side plan that might happen depending on how I feel about the content that I make for this scene is to expand the idea into a little bit of a L4D2 campaign. But at the moment this is purely a personal exercise which will hopefully provide a strong portfolio piece at the very least. First asset I have been working on is this Humber Pig. Modeling is done now, UVing and Skinning come next. Mostly detail and the interior added, some other tweaks and modifications to geometry here and there. Thanks for the comments about the wheels in the model WIP thread, I think I've fixed that issue, was doing the old "what I thought it looked like as opposed to properly studying the ref's I had."
  9. Those are the kind of spoilers that will be on the back of the box in the end anyway... The FEAR games are a bit of a favorite of mine, I hope this one delivers too, now we have metro though they're going to have to step it up a little.
  10. Right now I've been on Easter break and have decided to start on a scene, so I've started modeling the pieces I want/need. First off is a Humber Pig APC, mostly MKII but is a bit of a mish-mash of references really, picking the bits I thought looked best. First vehicle I've ever modeled, and probably the first time I've really closely followed references so going has been a bit slow. Still got some smaller details to add and I'm going to model the rear interior.
  11. Awesome stuff nooba, the only thing that bugs me is the gaps between the panels on the canon look too wide and too shallow. Makes it look carved in as opposed to a gap between two pieces, maybe just the inclusion of a thin darker line would help.
  12. "You're not playing at all properly, go sit behind that box and think about what you've done." I'm gonna pick Dx1 up on steam, this has made me want another play through .
  13. Oh man I'm looking forward to this even more now, exciting trailer and some great news.
  14. Fallout 4, yellow edition. And that lighthouse is a solar furnace HP
  15. Congrats guys, you definitely deserved it.
  16. Superb work on this, really interesting prop to chose to model. As for colour, two tone woodwork maybe? A nice dark mahogany to contrast with the black paint, some touches of red wouldn't look terribly out of place I dont think either.
  17. We're using the OB engine, and other than the files available to the SDK install everything is created by us, we remade a lot of CSS content so we could drop it from our requirements.
  18. Just thought this myself . Nice work.
  19. It looks great. I think it's the cab that's really throwing the style off. If that was a little more reserved it would fit a bit better. Impressive work at any rate.
  20. I always get excited when i see this threads been updated, keep up the good work.
  21. The biggest thing that stands out to me is the lack of markings on the road, defiantely needs something to break up that large blackk area.
  22. There's only assets for the refinery setting in the editor so far. They have other themes, like a biodome and space station/ living spaces in the works.
  23. Congrats on the win Psy, nice work!
  24. Purchased their "Year Of The Cobra" album.
  25. Yeah, happened to me and a mate playing VS the other day. Asked the other team to charge the stuck palyer to free him, instead they just picked the rest of us off and then killed him, probably because we were kicking their collective asses . Even admin slap wouldn't free the guy.
