I feel you step, it hurts so much. These haircuts really antagonise with a natural depiction of our gender, it stigmatize baldness. Everytime i try those haircuts it looks like shit, seriously, this has been making me cry for weeks.

  8. Dude I love it, but i have no idea why on the last screen, maybe having no reference to anything spacy, it reminds me the interior of a camping car; and once you see it...
  9. Just got to thinking about this game, how is the development going KoKo? I'm still hyped to try it out. It's been a while I haven't seen him unfortunately, but he seems to have made some progresses. You can follow his dev here : http://ymir-online.eu/ He has a lot of trouble with technical issues, especially with the netcode because he works with gamemaker and lots of plugins for it (being more of a 3d artist than a coder) but now the game reaches a point where it gets really complicated to handle everything within the gamemaker framework. Anyway if you want to try it out and help him, he sometimes needs people to participate to playtests, you can ask on the forum !
  10. Why making so much trailers for the game ? If feels like if i watched a walk-through of it
  11. Playing Banner saga, wish the game last 60+ hours it's damn awesome
  12. Well damn you guys are harsh, I think it looks absolutely awesome Liam ! I love the first & the last shot ! That could be out of 2001 ! But I think you already feel the effects of making PBR mats, people got bored of realistic painting, there is no reason they won't get bored of realistic videogames either You indeed should think of a bit of background story (or a theme) to dress the scene up. Like - aliens have attacked -, - They did a party there -, - It's christmas !! - , - they had sex on that banket - (that would be cool), - the exit to space have been opened - etc or think about who is the person who lives there and who do she/he is and how the interior decoration should reflect that; and then make the dressing props and details in accordance to what you choosed Well at least what would be interesting i think, would be elements contrasting with the futuristic and plain interior of a space station like colorful and noisy pictures, garlands, maybe go even more 70s, curtains for the window, a clock (work well to set the scene in time), food, a poster of the tour of a band from 2087, impressionist paintings of the countryside, a smoky ashtray, a blunderbuss on a wall, old books or a medieval tapestry why not, making the two periods of time contrasting, or at least making things coming from earth contrast from being in space but go quite bold on that. But I do think it looks really really cool mate !
  13. Well they are just annoying in general maybe. I'm no dad, but you should tell them nicely that it's your child, not theirs, and that the education has to be done by you. People tend to project their principles, and their "i know better" to what doesn't concern them, maybe unintentionally though. For the moment she is a baby so that is ok, but after, when she will be able to walk and talk you really need to put a stop to this kind of interference because it kind of hurt her education i think. Like for example, when my cousin leave his 2 years old boy at my parents home. When he asks something to eat or something to play with my mother will give him everything he wants. I think it's somehow because she wants the kid to like her basically. So of course, although he is not too annoying, he goes on a complete rampage when he is at my parents home. When I'm busy running after him when my cousin visits and he ask me : can i have that ? I answer : Alright but what do you think mom & dad would think about it ? (then he usually do a concerned face) If you want it you will have to go ask mom & dad, i can't give it to you myself. Then he goes and usually has it, but at least he understand that it is his mom & dad that have the last word. But also i have the good role, i'm usually the one he plays with when my cousin comes over. We usually play to the farm. But so far he just goes : LET S PUT EVERYONE IN THE FARM and then he will put the farmer, with the horse over him and throw the tractor on top until it fits. Then LET S GET EVERYONE OUT THE FARM etc etc he just doesn't get tired of that shit. I'm eager he grows up a bit so we could play the story of schmidt the ninja horse fighting the plastic trex in the land of the forsaken kitchen. Until he goes mentally ill and will be able to enjoy playing warhammer, and my plan will be perfect........ I think the best way will be either to talk to them about it if they can understand or keep your calm and say : yes. yes. you are right. Also for the woman in the supermarket, you could have bought a baby hat you monster, and then put it on the woman's head. That would have been the thing to do.
  14. Absolutely awesome mino, thanks a lot !!
  15. At the same time corwin, you are kind of in the middle of the storm, i mean you have two young kids who need a lot of attention, a house to renovate, and all that in a country that is not yours, without family or friends close to help you with the kids and the house, and on top of that a job in the videogame industry. Damn I can assure you this is a lot to be busy about, and i'd say this is almost normal you would feel exausted with all this at the same time. If you take a look at your parents life when they had you in france in the 70s 80s, i'm pretty sure it wasn't as complicated as that . But the more your kids will gain in independancy and the less work you will have on the house, i'm pretty sure it will give you much more time to breath, and plus like Furyo said, you will be able to share much more activities with them. Do your wife work btw ? Or her personal hobby is being a mother and taking care of the lifestyle of her family ? Because taking care of her family means also taking care of you and you of her. Kids don't ask for much, but what they care the most is being loved and live in a happy and relaxed environment and thus they need their parents to not burn out in order to not have to take their problems on their shoulders. I mean taking care of yourselves together is the best thing you can do for your kids . (being the son of two depressive alcoholics i can assure you that)
  16. My girlfriend started watching godzilla 2014, so i took a look and was pretty enthusiastic when i saw there was Bryan Cranston and Juliette Binoche playing in it, that sounded promising. But 10 minutes after.. damnnnnnnn I really liked Bryan Cranston doing his Malcom dad faces, we laughed a lot, so it was entertaining in that sense. But what the hell with all these marines everywhere
  17. Haha pampers that is amazing loving those characters ! Cool thread btw, I have my own never ending game too, some of you guys already saw it, it's in standby for the moment, and ... NOT DEFINED YET Right click to set a movement order for a character, backspace to erase it, and B to launch the movements. I know this sucks but that's how it is http://kokosovar.free.fr/radioactivetoast/ DON T UNZOOM !!!!!!!!!! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD
  18. Heavy stuff 3dnj , it happened to me some years ago and i had a lot of weird stuff in my fridge, also i couldn't leave my socks conveniently on the ground anymore and my arm was numb in the morning.
  19. Appart the lack of the mapcore logo that is super awesome minos !!
  20. It's easy in the case of kids because you have parents to throw the responsibility upon (like always), but in the case of large audience f2p facebook games like farmville, happy aquarium or any of the like, there is also a good part of psychologically fragile adults (and it's easier to make them take out their wallet). I'm not sure if this is true or not, nor i remember from where i heard it. But apparently the companies distributing these games live from 0,2% of their player base, people who are basically ready to pay 5000, 10000 $ for content or ingame money. Are they rich responsible persons who dispose of their money as they like, or are they psychologically fragile persons like your senile grandma throwing away her economies in a delirium ? Not sure these companies have the means to know, and probably no desire to know anyway.
  21. Speaking of machiavelic addiction mechanics there's also world of warcraft, diablo, hearthstone
  22. FF7, metal gear, secret of mana, secret of evermore and chrono-trigger for some reason
  23. Damn, 154 hours here, and i thought i played it a lot
  24. I'm completely addicted to nuclear throne, that's one of the best action game I played seriously
  25. There's one thing that didn't came out too often in this conversation though, at least for the job of an environment artist that is, the one i know. Is that the job requires more than often a lot of psychological endurance, because it can turn very repetitive when you are working within a company (even a great one). That's pretty much depending of where you work at, what is the project or how the work is managed between the env guys (if the dirty work is not dispatched equally between the team and it ends up being on you). But sometimes when things need to be done to hit release, they have to be done. For example i remember in Paris during the development of a crappy horse game doing the worst monkey job (nothing against monkeys) spending 8 months filling by hand kilometers of grass, trees and the like with broken tools and have to deal with the worst management ever (i mean i liked my job as a porter at the airport more). I saw all of my co-workers full of enthusiasm slowly breaking up, spending their day moaning a bit more and trying to leave the boat to more interesting teams within the studio or desperately working on making unique assets, turned up I ended alone to finish placing vegetation in my shiny armour (until the intern arrived). And that's the thing, they were right, because this inevitable dose of repetitive work is the real mind killer. I mean if everyone was working at a company like they do at home, nobody will be moaning and everything would be - c r e a t i v e - including unicorns, sparkling stars, and butterflies. And if you are unlucky and that's falling on you, that's where you need a good balanced personal life first (and cool coworkers), something to drive you like a passionate feeling about what you do or a self accomplishment feeling (like doing stuff at home) or a very hard psychological resilience, or move to somewhere else; otherwise you will have the feeling to live the same boring day again and again, you will burn out super fast and you will be totally disgusted by what you liked. I mean people can shit on IOS, small games etc, but sometimes i can be much more interesting than AAA games, especially if you are managing all the art direction since there's no one else to do it, and you can learn much more for yourself doing this than making repetitive content for an AAA.
