Skjalg Posted April 8, 2009 Report Posted April 8, 2009 I think things are slowly, but steadily changing. As mazy also pointed out, studios are taking in fewer and fewer interns, especially straight from high school (18 year olds). The games industry has grown out the parent's basements and into the schools. Or at least its getting there... Quote
Puddy Posted April 9, 2009 Author Report Posted April 9, 2009 Not yet I think. Not when it comes to "game education" anyway, where many of the schools are crap from what I've heard (many, not all). Those that can't they teach, eh? However, real science degrees I think is a great help. As I said in a previous post I'll take 6/12 months off and then go off and grind through 4 or 5 years to reach said degree. Quote

rockdude86 Posted April 11, 2009 Report Posted April 11, 2009 so im going to attent qantm college for a day the 19th just to see whats possible there. i agree that practice makes perfect so to say but since some of us *me* dont really have the time to really plunge into what they would like to a school is THE solution. Taylor Posted April 11, 2009 Report Posted April 11, 2009 I would advise applying somewhere sooner rather than later. I didn’t seem to have any hiccups, but sat on my hands for years before going for it. Quote
