Nice tip Seir! I might use it to add other games to the collection. The models were extracted with Wow model viewer and I have adjusted them in Maya to make it easier to papercraft. Minos, do you know if what I do is acceptable or is it considered illegal to rip the models for this?

Just saw the UT99 inspired Papercrafts and thought hell why not post something Ive made regarding papercraft. I have setup a website with Papercraft models from Blizzard games. Check it out here and let me know what you think:) www.game-papercraft.com

Made some changes to the palm tree bark. Not sure if this is an improvement or not.

Do you guys have gamestop over there? They were giving away really good deals if you brought your PS3 copy and get a PS4 copy for it. No we do not have a Gamestop unfortunately:( I am very disapointed in the lack of an option to upgrade. I understand they want to increase their sales and revenue but ugh poor customer/fan service

What sad news:(

Man I loved it on PS3 but I couldn't bring myself to pay another 65 euros to replay it on PS4. Such a shame there is no upgrade package available and probably never will.

Thanks Kikette, Yeah I could definately work on my brushes. Right now I use a standard brush with pen pressure. I should read up on what setting does what. I will also work on some more contrast in terms of color. I tend to go for the same color but a bit darker. Feel free to do paintovers guys.

Cheers TheGuma! Was going for a WoW / Allods kind of look. Any tips on how to improve?

Hey guys, It has been a while since I posted here. Lately I have been trying to get some decent handpainted textures. Below is what I've got so far. Crits are welcome. I do not yet know how this scene will work out but I'll add as I go.

Lol those gifs are great. Fuckery is great.

The Witcher 3 got me rock hard. I have never been able to get into the first Witcher because of the combat system. I decided to give the second installment a try and fell in love with everything. Day one purchase.

How the hell do you pull that off. I saw one where this dude ejected from his plane and sniped the plane in persuit. Then accessd that plane and flew on. What I don't get though is Battlefield tries so hard to be realistic with bulletgravity and sunshine effects (snowlevels are impossible to scope in because it turns you blind), but you can easily eject and re enter a vehicle in the air.

Hahaha unfortunately its true:(

Dunno why but this seems as appropriate as everything else here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FiARsQSlzDc

I see where you are coming from with the distinction between acts in terms of overal color palette. Act 5 (Westmarch) is geographically not that far from Act 1 (New Tristram) though. The most changes I found were the overal architecture. Especially the cathedral area looked particularly nice (see image below)
-
Sentura I think you have to see it in action and not base it on bad images that are full of monsters and effects. Sure there is some consistency in terms of color and art. It has to fit the new Diablo style. But while playing Act 5 I never had the feeling It was something I had seen before.
-
Act 5 is a piece of art! I don't know what gave you impression I didn't like it? Perhaps I should have phrased myself better. I just meant to say that I would never play Diablo 3's original campaign mode again. As far as I know you can't play Act 5 in campaign mode? But I'm loving it in Adventure mode. It's goddamn beautiful. Kinda like Darksides 2 and the Kingdom of the Dead. Euh I never said you didn't like it. I only quoted you on Act 5 as you said "What story? You can't play the new Act (campaign)" in order to find out if you saw Act 5 in Adventure Mode. But when I got home tonight and booted it up and there was the Campaign Act 5. It is friggin gorgeous though. (definately not finished yet as I can still see the borders of the world.)
-
I can confirm what HP says. I just tried Act 5 in Campaign Mode and it looks GREAT! The style is consistent but looks nothing like Act 1. It does have a gloomier darker look which I really like. Unfortunately due to extreme rubber banding I couldn't play on.
-
I thought you said Act 5 looked amazing. Is it something you can visit during Adventure Mode instead of the Campaign Mode?
-
In all seriousness though I am really liking the changes. How far are you into the story Sprony?
-
It is looking nice and I love me some C&C but the 3D shooter variant is just not.... it. Also it looks like it will take half an hour to kill someone just like the regular Renegade. I will let this pass.

Just finished playing for about 2 hours and I am definitely liking the changes thusfar. The loot is far more interesting as they mostly have stats that are relevant to my class. I copied over my Wizard that had a critical mass build and that the way I played before no longer works in the beta. This is actually very nice and gets me to experiement with my skills in order to survive. Enchanting and Transmogrification: Basically you select an item you want to enchant and select a stat you're not interested in and pay approx 30k gold to exchange it for another random stat. You get to choose between two options. This could potentially increase the amount of upgrades you can find. Downside is this stuff gets soulbound after doing so. After this it was time to dye and transmogrify my gear. Again very simple system where you place your item in the slot and pay (currently 500g) to get another look. You get to choose between a bunch of options. I managed to make my Wizard look pretty bad ass imho. Nephalem Rifts: Every now and then you get a Rift keystone from a slain enemy. These stones can unlock random instances where you have to defeat many enemies till the bar reaches 100% before the boss is accesible. Lots of loot and experience. They can take up a lot of time though. Stats and Paragon levels: You can now change some stat points in a few categories when clicking on the Paragon level button in the inventory. The way damage and armor is displayed has also changed. It is replaced with toughness. Also the damage on items has been changed to percentages instead of flat numbers. This makes looking at higher items a bit easier. (instead of a new weapon doing 3000 dps more it is now displayed as 1% increase over what you currently have). Im still scraping the surface here but overall impressions are good.
