Thanks man. Believe me, I treat this very seriously and I am aware of the implications should it be cancer. However I'm very objective and if there is no way of knowing for sure before the biopsy, what can I do? I once watched an episode of extreme home makeover where the family had lost the father to cancer. They etched one phrase he'd use to comfort his family about the situation, it was something like "there are a lot of things to think about; there is nothing to worry about". I just use the humor in my posts so they don't become too morbid, because in all honesty, that's not my mood at all. Just last night I had a wonderful barbecue with friends singing karaoke and later playing pictionary untill sunrise =P And again, nothing is confirmed and I haven't been diagnosed with cancer yet. And even if I am, it's likely to be on its initial stages and entirely treatable. I love life too much to stop living it to worry about losing it. If that makes any sense =P

Who's to say I don't have heavy balls? I know it doesn't mean much, but according to my recent blood exams, statistically, there is an 85% chance of the tumor being benign. So, statistically, I'm on the winning side. I'm going to make a thorax and abdomen tomography next week that should further assert the nature of the tumor, though only the biopsy will ultimately reveal the truth, it's another piece of the puzzle.

Thanks guys! I'll keep you posted about any developments and let you know when I go in for surgery. Your support is much appreciated! I'm very objective when it comes to this sorta thing. After all, what am I gonna do curl up and cry? God gave me two balls and is now taking one away, as far as I care, Challenge Accepted! Minos, You gotta look for anything that is/feels strange. You gotta know your own body, but testicles are kinda like a jelly bean, somewhat flexible and soft, but firm. In my case I felt a very distinctive lump that didn't feel flexible, so I knew what it was from the start. My parents are veterinarians and I've seen and felt and even watched a tumor removal operation once, so I know exactly what it looked like. I just want to bring some awareness that was unfortunately forced on me. We usually focus so much on working and improving our skills we forget we are just frail human fleshthings. We don't need to go all hypochondriac, after all what matters most is quality of life, but noone wants to get killed by a fucking mutated lump on the nuts right? Don't let my ball die in vain! Just take care of yourselves! (I declare that this emote is my right ball in nutheaven from now on)

You say you have a survival third-person shooter, how is it that you'll create this gameplay? Are you going to have a lot of exploration and scavenging for items (bigger environments, less linear) or just plain few resources and force the player to play smart? I'd take a look at Flying wild Hog's Hard Reset levels, they have a nice linear environment that usually goes on spirals and revisits settings multiple times from different angles and is a nice way to have a somewhat large level that won't need to stretch over a wide area too much. Like they usually start with the player at the lower section, then he goes to the back and climbs on some walkways that spiral back over the starting area. I think it's the best way you can do this and keep the amount of actual work to a minimum.

Thanks man. I'll know if it's cancerous after the biopsy, after the surgery. Here's hoping it's not!

Are you man enough to cut off one of your balls? Yeah cause I'll have to. I have a tumor on my right testicle, and they'll have to remove one of my balls. True story. I'm not worried since I have more than enough man juice to make it with just one. I even asked if they could make a BALL OF STEEL prosthesis but the best they could do was a silicone one... at least I won't be left with a dangling empty ballsack. Anyway my point is, dudes, get your health in order, or you might lose your balls. For whatever reason, men in our society aren't generally open about some health concerns. So if you don't want to risk losing your balls, think about getting checked, self exams, etc. This shit is serious. It can quite literally be life and death, and there is nothing manly about a man dying of a disease he didn't think he could get, or that could have been caught early enough to be treated successfully if he'd just been willing to examine his own body and/or let a doctor do it. So, massage your balls. And did you know man can get breast cancer as well? Well they do, so massage your man-tits while at it. I haven't had a date scheduled for the surgery yet, waiting for some test results and shit. I'll let you know of any developments. Wish me luck!

If there ever is a church to Thrik, this will be where it started.

Thank you for Dear Esther Robert, I've played it 3 times now and don't feel like playing any more, but I want every person I know to play it so we can talk about it! Inspiring work and meaningful experience. Well done.

Fast travel is essential, I guess what they meant is this: you are on the horse, an enemy appears, you have to get down from the horse to fight, then get back on, then you spot some alchemy ingredients you want to collect, then get off the horse, collect them, then get back on, then you walk some more and see an NPC, then get off the horse, talk, get back on... Since you can only basically move with the horse, the constant getting off-on really interrupts the flow of wandering the wilderness, and the resources needed to actually flesh out horseback mechanics (talking, fighting, interacting) where not worth the investment, so they left horses in their most basic (and honestly silly) iteration.
-
I read somewhere that they specifically didn't put enough resources in the horses because they found it broke the experience of the player and exploration. Which is a shame, really, if you could fight on horseback and at least interact with stuff on your reach (speak to NPCs, pick up ingredients) it would have been so much more fun. But then I think they let it in so the modders can improve on that, so there is hope. Anyway me playing (Wolf Queen quest spoilers) recorded the video for a friend to see what the game is about: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lnz-fzqoY5s

Gonna leave work and go home to play some more SP games. It's been a while since I last played co-op. Shit I'm actually right on the meme, damn.

Anyone knows if this is being developed in their HQ? Is there any development of this in Atlanta or is that solely for World of Darkness?
-
Yep that's good advice. I was playing it on Hard and the difficulty was perfect imo. Thanks for the advice. Will do.

So sad, but hopefully they can find room to survive. They have done an absolutely great job with the 40K franchise. I'm not sure how much they have to pay back to Games Workshop, but I hope I don't see their 40K line-up change. The 40K MMO though, as much as I would love to play, has to disappear in flames.

A friend of mine is living in the UK and is planning to buy a new rig. If you can point me out to the best website (in your opinion) where I can customize a rig and have it assembled and delivered to her address it would be much appreciated.
