guess it all depends on wat version of the final code gabe had on his puter at the time...but then again the hacker got into other puters i herd some one mention he has a CS:CZ version to but i cud not care less about that.....wonder how much this guy really has i think valve shud come clean then this dude can't use the threats...sad that its come to this ~

ya agreed, i'm interested in all this guy has, kinda crazy, not interested in getting it, but just how much and how COMPLETE everything is, even though Valve keeps saying the delay was because of the leak, not because the product 'wasn't done'

sorry, but i dont really trust valve.. but then again i dont trust some anon hacker.. but i have SEEN the leak... and i looked to be really old.. very buggy and alot of missing stuff

maybe this guy is a good hoaxer and has a pre e3 build

or maybe valve has pulled the wool over all your eyes and you just cant see they are lying...

ditto and i wud like valve to come clean on everything the longer they leave it teh more h8 they will get coz were only hearing the hackers side and there silence does not help us....not belive him in away ;o~

Yeah i'd like to hear their side of it also, not like it'd change anything, but i'd like to know if the leak was fairly new and they are just covering up the delay cause they weren't done or it was because it was hacked. who knows if they will ever tell the truth though

indepth, from what I have heard (for the record) is that the build that is out is pretty old. Stuff seen in E3 isn't even in the build (eg, the 'spider' scene. and several others). What is there is just a really disorganized chunky build consisting of a few maps which don't even match up to what Valve is showing today (eg, the lab where the black scientist and alynx are at)...

Long story short; this build looks extreemly old... and I know someone will come up with some argument for this... but I can definately say, from what I have seen from this 'build', that it is nowhere near what valve is showing today. Maybe it's because this build was compiled third-party with missing code.. maybe it's a bunch of other factors... it all points to real shotty work.

Personally I feel the longer valve delays saying exactly how old the build is, the more I begin to think it's rather recent and valve doesn't want to blow around that they have virtually nothing completed in terms of mapping and other graphical details. What kind of ticks me off in this situation is that Valve is bitching and moaning that they may have to setback the release date because of some stolen code... to me that's just about as good as "the dog ate my homework." Within the music industry if some album is put on the internet early you don't see the artist whining and moaning that the instore album release will be delayed by 3 months because of the early internet release... D:

i would love a statement from valve saying... what was taken.. how old it was (it looks pre e3) and how much is really done... but i doubt they will do this... so its hard to belive who is lying and who is telling the truth..

I guess maybe i should say something about this leaked build and what has leaked and so forth... First off I disagree with everyones statements about this being old... Just because it has e3_techdemo levels does not say that its old... Also in the techdemo levels it has the date of the build in the conrner is says -4 days until 9/30/03 which was suppose to be the release date which gives us a time frame as to when that specific build of the engine was created.....

Hvainf worked on a 3d engine in the past i can we say we oftne times used old content to test the new builds of the engine... We would just take what we have and run with it; which is what looks like happen here. I have seen the build and I can say that indeed it is pretty buggy but then again I can also say there are no levels that can really display anything great, nor are there what seems to no real computer optimization in the routines of the engine... it just works and I think thats all we have and thats all valve had on the date of the engine build... a working engine with some semi-scripted e3_techdemo levels... which is not what we only see in the leak either. We also see non finished levels like canal and so forth which also has its own techdemo level which would leave me to believe that the build of the engine is post E3....

As far as CZ goes.. I can say from what i have seen this build looks rather old and I don't know if mike has seen it yet but it looks like either a very early ritual build or a very old GBX build because it looks like ass. The fact that it has leaked though is rather funny... I think that valve is in for a rough ride... They will see what happens when you lie to people and tell them you have stuff that you don;t really have. I believe that Anon leaker when he says thats all valve had... it sounds like something valve would do and it does not suprise me at all having seen how internal valve works.

If the leaked stuff actually is everything Valve has, then Gabe Newell, Doug Lombardi or anyone else from Valve will rather jump as a fireball through the windows of his office than admitting that the previous release dates were absolutely absurd and that the date would have been pushed way back (even without the hack) anyway. The only reasonable explication for spreading unrealistic release dates would be hyping the game, but concerning lots of content shown at the E3 (all the videos) which cannot be found in the leak makes this theory appear quite improbably in my eyes.

inless this hacker has more then he says he seems to realse more every 3-4days ;o~ or at least we "hear" of more being realsed meh till we get summink from valve this just sucks ~
