  1. Definitely in conquest mode, I'm getting shot across the map all the time from someone hiding on a sand dune. I feel rush provides more of a head on combat, except for the last points where it becomes a snipe fest again. Hopefully the other maps will be a bit better I could connect mid day but anything past 6pm was completely broken, spam the connect button enough and it connects you. But have fun trying to get into a server x(

And please @Quotingmc can you see this through right to the end this time, I see so many pretty greyboxes from various projects you've worked on that never get finished

  4. For graphics you hardly have to do anything written, with both engines. The time you need to write code is to actually make the game function The reason the docs are so low on this stuff is because it gives you most of the things you need already, for example in unity a widely versatile Default PBR shader, dof shaders etc, all with simple controls, it allows you to focus on making the game instead of fiddling around all the time. If you look into it there are a lot of aggressive optimization techniques for both engines that won't cause much stress setting up, and both engines already deal with optimization to some extent to start with.

    I joined the discord room and started to work with all of those guys in there, aaand we came up with this... (arranging characters onto the compass on the floor to try and activate something) It was pretty embarrassing considering it did completely nothing... Everyone is out of clues on it
  6. Agisoft photoscan to do the processing, it's very good ^^. I did around 1% of the work in the software, it's pretty much all automated. *edit Second time around, I masked all my images for far better results, which took a long time
  7. Tried out photo scanning today! I think the results from the software are insane considering my shoddy camera work and poor lighting conditions . I uploaded the model to sketchfab, if anyone's interested. And here is one of the 20 photographs: Edit: aaaand another one: On sketchfab, again

  9. They mentioned nothing was new, at the moment they are converting everything over onto the Panorama UI.
  10. Yea we had the same experience, I just hosted a private lobby with those guys, not seen a server dedicated to the gamemode or anything yet, would be nice to see one so there can be more people on a team! I think that idea is definitely plausible, looking forward to an update ^^
  11. Me, @rosk, @Bevielis, @Mark C. and @Wrakke played for around on this for about half hour, this map is fun as hell! The map settings are spot on and a lot of great fast paced battles took place . The only thing that came up were the spawns and teleport's; if you can find a way to lock certain teams from entering the spawn buildings or have the players teleport of the spawn into the map it would be a bit better, it was fairly easy to camp in there and have stalemates where both flags were taken. Other then that it was very entertaining! (We said it was a just for fun match but it was really more then that ) Congrats on the release!

I guess half of the issue is being dealt with, seeing as they are sending out the letters to the gambling sites telling them to seize their activity with steam, then the "Use my codes on this site for free coins" comments will stop. Shutting down the gambling sites will probably also remove the whole csbets.net (when they send the notice to them) manipulation issue, since the the sites will be gone there will be no need to manipulate in order to gain advertisement. But yeah they should also add some form of filter to the steam workshop, its not hard to make something that will spot the same link being posted over and over, in a short space of time. The workshop spam should have been dealt with loooong time ago though :\
  13. I think there should be a staff pick spotlight, for operation standard maps that need the attention. I am totally seeing this, I wouldn't doubt that its him doing it. I see more than 6 climbing the most popular (week) and shipped isn't even on the first page of it.
  14. You can tell that the betting scene made lots of money for Counter Strike, Steam didn't kick up a fuss about this, until everyone else did... Even know everyone at valve probably knew about it I think that all these betting sites were fine tbh, I agree with the problem with underage gambling but its the parents responsibility to make sure little kiddies don't get addicted to throwing their virtual skins away **EDIT** I retract that statement about betting sites being fine, seeing the recent events of the steam workshop and some vote manipulation I understand why they gotta go.

  16. Seriously you cant use the carve tool for this stuff, it creates crazy geometry and will become unworkable instantly.
  17. haha yes, messed around in substance and I think they look fine now: //Edit, so apparently it was still a bit ayy lmao, so I tried adjusting the face even more and baking in higher resolution + toning down the red drips I want to make the jaw a bit more defined still and make the feet better, but this will do for now ^^. Thanks everyone who gave feedback on this small model

  21. I think so too, first "bug" I looked at is a pipe with no collision? Pretty sure that is intended to make the level smoother to move around, so you don't get stuck on every little pebble around the map. As far as these graphical glitches go, I've never noticed some of them, I think it will take a lot of needless time + a lot of client updates to update and fix these as the list goes on (heavy for what they are at that). Its probably best to submit stuff to the devs directly if anyone has some kindof-important bugs like bombstuck spots / those funny killzones. Seems well made tho, and doing it for your own map in progress is a great idea, since there could be some very broken stuff before you publish like the Hogwarts glitch from mirage "Its not a bug its a feature"

  23. It's not like moving Inferno to the reserves group is going to stop people playing it, I wouldn't really say they were 'forcing' people onto Nuke... I think its more for the next major tbh.

If your looking to buy substance painter anyone, painter 2 just came out and dropped all those with the first version a 50 percent discount on it, the steam sales by themselves only usually do a 30% discount on substance products. I don't have a need to buy the second one since I cant see much that has changed, if anyone's interested just add me on steam /id/Terri00 (15 day trade holds on my account offers, be quick if you want it! )
